New patient- Lots of questions.

I am a new patient and I am starting to learn the ins and outs of growing on my own. I have read a few indoor/outdoor growing books and am now working on "Gardening Indoors with Soil&Hydroponics" by George F. Van Patten.

I am now looking at buying my first seeds but before I get started I had a few questions:

1) what strains seem to be the best for new indoor growers?
2) best place to buy these beggining seeds/legality?

Im ready to get started once they arrive, from my readings this is my plan. I would love any input anyone has, as I have no experience growing any plants and am working stricly off of literature.

As for once I get the seeds. My plan is to germinate a few different strains by dropping the seeds into a glass overnight, then keeping them damp for 7-10 days in a dark cuppord. Once a healthy tap root has shown I will be putting them in supercubes about .25 inches in. I will be doing all of this in a shallow black tray in an enclosed dome. Im going to keep the temperature in the grow box at 76 with a heating blanket under the grow tray. I will be running compact floureset bulbs above the seedlings, with the dome on. I will be using strictly tap water for the first 2 weeks and then a light rooting compount until i see the first true leaves appear. I anticipate that the seedlings will enter the veg state about 6 weeks from sprouting, 3 weeks after the first true leaves appear. From there I will be seeking much more input entering the veg, flower, harvest and well, everything else I need to know.

I am very excited about producing my own quality medicine! As it has already proven to be an effective form of treatment for my debilitating condition.

1 - skunk strains seem really easy to grow as they are vary hardy strains. From personal experience most of the shorter flowering time strains, less time to screw something up .
2. Attitude or Nirvana are the more popular choices, both good and there's many many more decent ones. There's also sometimes the option of your local dispensary..

Sounds so easy when you read it in a post. I would recommend for a first time grower (of anything as you said) to plant some bagseed (if you have any) or go with a less expensive seed ( of course from a reputable breeder), that's easy to grow. Also make your seed choice based on yur grow space, and wanted outcome for the product. Grow what you like to consume is always a good choice. Sounds like you got the basics down. Just keep your researching of growing one step ahead of the stage of your grow, and you should do fine. Above all else, keep your grow a secret.

Great idea!, any new grower with access to any seeds whatsoever should use them for trial runs.

If you are a medical patient, you should go to a legal dispensary that will likely have seeds and even clones available.

As a new I would go with clones. Don't have to worry about a plant being male.

If I were you, I'd go to my local dispensary and get some decent clones. This is my first grow, I got my clones from a dispensary(afghan, mobi dick, and an oregon grape). They were 5" tall when I got them about 4 weeks. In that time, here is what they look like.
