New PC grow!, advice?

Hi all, most of my stuff has arrived the lights have been delayed till friday though so got a bit of time to sort the box out, i have gutted the box and put the lining inside (the lining is that white plastic sheeting with black on the other side btw) i have wired the fans up and speed control all is good so far! i have three 120mm fans now, one on the top and two inline on the top corner, just need to make a light trap anyone know which is the best way?

i have 4 magnet hooks on the ceiling of it for the LEDs to hang, they are pretty strong so no worries there
the plant pots i have dont leave alot of room for growth and are pretty inefficient space wise so i made my own shorter and more filling of the floor space in there and i made a tray to collect any excess water underneath it out of the lining ( i got waaay too much of it, was still very cheap)

does anyone have an idea on how to get maximum yield out of this? what hours of light do i use?
ill get a scrog set up later on when theyre growing big enough, shall i use my homemade plant pot or will using something else like partycups/halfed coke bottles or anything and use all the 5 seeds i have?
i have my compost ready so just waiting till friday to finish the set up happy days
any comments will be appreciated thanks!

I mean the actual Mr.pcgrow or whatever company that makes these prebuilt uses a type of LST...I like the scrog idea as well though. I have seen a couple of grows hit 1+ ounces from these. Did you get indica's? I would suggest those for sure, search button and there are alot

i made my own for half the price and mine has stronger Lights i believe! would of been easier to buy it premade though! ill try and find something/make my own scrog by when i need it, think all the seeds i got are hybrids

Yeah I understand...what I am hinting at is that you should check their website and copy what they do? I'm sure they have enough research and grows do e to know the optimal setup

there isnt much info i can find for the specific strains so ill just go with a 12/12 as it will keep them smaller, less time and should get better bud for this set up i believe

i made and put in a light trap which connects to both my fans but it takes up a fair bit of room but there is no light leaking and the airflow isnt really restricted, should i just leave it as i dont think the light would be a problem

It needs to be light proof or close to lightproof for 12/12 or you could risk hermies
Edit* I still put my tent in a dark area to make sure so if you can do that...

hm will that affect the growth or anything? if it means ill just get seeds i wont mind too much, if it affects the growth and the bud then ill just put the light box in

If you don't research on a forum that YOU joined to further YOUR hobby, and help yourself out when their is so much info available... YOU'RE gonna have a bad time. Why spend all this money and then not even read the instructions? I'm sorey , but if you don't even know that 12/12 needs to be dark, you need to do ALOT of reading. I have basically received an education in growing from this and several other forums in the last 6 months I have been reading, you should too....its part of the fun

isnt asking research though, i meant if the plant was hermie id get seeds which i can use for next grow? dont worry though i made a new light trap which is smaller and more affective

Yeah, but it has already been asked is what I'm trying to get at. Keep It Simple Stoner, or KISS....you are not reinventing the wheel. I could answer, or, as a certain famous parable goes "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime." Google or simply the search button at the top of the bar will help. I'm not trying to be a dick...at least I didn't do the "here let me google that for you" thing.

Good job with the light trap. You should really look at the strains you are getting. I would personally grow an indica in that space first so that it won't overwhelm you. 12/12 from seed will be perfect though for sure.

yeah i get where youre coming from and i have found alot from google and searching but couldnt find some and need some experienced growers opinions

There's an old thread by v12xjs pc grow LST perpetual here at riu. He's no longer on riu but by far it's the best pc grow thread I've ever read threw so far.
Could help you out maybe.
