New Question, I have SEARCHED!

OK If your growing in say a shed and ur running 3 1000W 6" air cooled hoods 1 is hooked to carbon filter to light out light to 1 exhaust fan 152cfms.exhausted outside

Then the other two are running togeather with a 450cfm fan exhausting the heat to the outside. I put a 12000 btu portable air conditioner (Single hose, auto drain) in the room today .

MY QUESTION IS
Can I just disconnect the carbon filters and pull air from outside thru the lights to cool em then exhaust it outside? it would be like a closed system. Not really worried about smell and this way I can quit sucking all my damn cold air out of the room?

This room is not air/tight and I have a fan pulling fresh air into the room. Temps were 90 degrees today inside the room so I hooked the A/C up and brought the temps down to 78 but could get better if I didn't have 600cfms sucking my cold air out of the room.

The A/C has a dehumidifer function that sucks the moisture out of the room automaticly. to 50%

What if I left my carbon filter on the 1 light and just ran the dual lights on a closed system? that way I would still get air exchange. any help would be rewarded with +REP Thanks

no reason it wouldn't work. probably obvious to you, but you want your carbon filter at the top of your shed, preferably on the opposite side of the shed from the a/c.

Thanks Desertrat Yep got that filter @180 thats what I am going to do then

I love this hobby always a challenge and a reward

well you need fresh air to provide co2 so without it you'll need to equip it I think. Also you have to worry about mildew and mold so your going to need a sulpher burner to prevent powdery mildew possibly dehumidifier etc. Check out the growrooms from the urban grower on youtube if you can. I was recently looking for the one where they put together a grow room but couldn't find it it's lost in the sea of videos.

Yea..nothin sounds wrong with it to me..Youre talking about exhuasting through one hood and running a closed air circut on the other two..along with a little intake fan and ac coming in as well..right? Just makin sure I got all that.. Its sounds good to me
