New spot is finally almost done. Still need to figure out intake air. Other then that I ran the lights on 100% for a full 24 hours and temps and humidity are right where I want them to be at. It got to 30 Celsius here yesterday and the room stayed at 28C 55% RH.

I set my 8” exhaust on auto and it kept everything in check very well.

I’ll only have 4 plants ready to go in there for the first run so I’m going to try and veg them another month with lots of training to bush them out. 04E2968E-6A00-49C2-9891-01E3720AD6D2.jpeg96EADFFC-B3BC-418A-919A-1371593D43A1.jpeg9922205B-97E2-4C44-8D6F-6414FCFA323D.jpegE9C1F233-63E8-426F-9AE8-5B4BB8780AD6.jpeg852DF708-1846-4E61-AF8F-198D76F1C63A.jpeg

Keep in mind big plants put lots of water in the air. If you are feeding 4 gallons a day, that means you are putting 4 gallons of water per day into the air.

I have a 70 pint dehu, 2 ton ac ready to roll. Also I live in a very dry climate and run a humidifier pretty much 365 days a year to keep my humidity up.

My old flower room was 4x8 and no matter how many plants I crammed in there I still had to run the biggest humidifier I could find (on a controller) for the full flower cycles.

That was on the second floor of my house, this is in my basement now. I’ll get it dialled in within the first few weeks of veg here.

Nice work I like your setup

I was using bagged canna coco before and really liked it but am now switching to bricked canna. It seems pretty much the same just a little bit of work sifting some fine fibers out of it..
I am curious if you’ve tried the bricked and what your experience was, I’m hoping it performs just as well because it is a lot cheaper to ship and cheaper overall, and less space to store

I haven’t tried the brick. But friends have and they never noticed a difference. I personally like the bag convenience.

You gonna leave the lights hung high like that?

I will be borrowing my friends par meter this week at some point and running different wattages and heights. If the Meijiu numbers aren’t a lie I should be able to flower at 24” for a pretty even 900 ppfd across the board.

Im really exited to follow these lights progress tho. Someone just gave me a Joyo light to test, which looks almost identical to your lights. Was about to order 1 of the 1k watt fixtures Meiju as well.

So at 30 inches the hottest spots are getting under 1k PPFD. Dont you want that to be more the 15 inch numbers on the canopy?

Dude. These plants a tiny currently and vegging. Let them grow into the bushes I’m aiming for. The lights will be 24” when it comes flower time.

A proper light in a reflective area can be hung pretty high. People hanging lights super close to their plants are doing so because they just dont have enough light. Look at commercial grow spaces with lights at a fixed 15 foot height.

Those lights arent LED's tho. I was personally shooting for 1500+ PPFD on the canopy in flower. Is this too much? My plants seem super happy

Dude check out urban remo on YouTube. He hangs his LED at 15 feet and has for years.
