New To BHO need help

okay so i have some bud that im grinding as we speak (good quality) and im really intrested in making the best quality oil i can, ive got super refined butane, cofee filters, some extractor a local guy made and if need be ill go buy the rest can someone shoot me some pointers? or just give me a tutorial? ill post pics in a sec. the more detailed the better please.

that is an impressive machine you have my friend do you have a link or anything to help me out i'm having a tough time finding useful info on the subject half the stuff seems like a meth lab explosion waiting to happen.

welding gloves. that's what I heard anyway, plenty of info on this site for making the oil, that's for sure.

oh you mean on blasting thru a tube, dunno, lemme see.

hell you're in the right place, just look around. personally I don't have any experience but the one time I wanted to change my tamisium solvent tank out, that's some wicked pressure , I blasted a batch straight into a dish at the same time.

yeah im really just trying it out for fun, knowledge and because I love dabs! But i've got enough work right now to keep me plenty busy without a new toy. well I guess i'll get looking around and just give it some trial and error ill post on how it goes if anyone is interested.

when I am trying to extract pristine oil, I like to use material that has been broken down and chopped up , rather than ground up... I would rec grinding your material before hand to yield maximum weight.. But if you powderize your material, you will extract more excess shit than you really want for a smooth dab

As Guz notes, for bragging rights quality, breaking the material up loosely by hand, will produce a more pristine extraction than grinding the material first, though the ground material will generally produce more oil, because of more efficiency in packing and uniform butane flow.

okay so what I did was filled the tube with some bud (didn't pack the first run tightly to see how it would come out) then i blasted it with a can of butane (plenty) and it looked like it should have then i packed the tube super tight and blasted a couple of cans through it, oh by the way i used a coffee filter as a screen and used garden ties to hold it on, blasted it into a pyrex dish, sitting in a bath of warm water, on top of my seedling mat, on a towel and outdoors away from fire or sparks. Then after it had cooked off overnight i warmed up some water on the stove put the dish in it and scraped all the wax into a blob with a razor, then i gotmy dab stick and whipped it up to purge it for like 30 minutes!! then when it looked right i put it in a jar and took a rip out of the bong (with dabbing setup) and it tasted pretty good and got me pretty medicated. So ill call this a success and probably never do it again because i cant justify spraying that much butane into the air or wasting that much of it just to get a little higher (not very ecologically sound practice) so thats what happened and ill post the pics shortly
