New to California, looking for some friends.

Hi Im a long time grower that has recently moved to California to get legal. Im 24 and have a wife thats 21.
I live in Victorville, and was just wondering if there were any cool people chilling around here.

Hey man I don't live in Cali I'm actually in the middle of Australia.. I have really been thinking about moving somewhere legal, I'm sick of Australia being so far behind in everything inc medicinal marijuana, the Australian government is way too ignorant and conservative to introduce medicinal marijuana in my lifetime atleast.. One day the world will see the true potential of marijuana and it will be PROERLY researched! Until then I think I might move elsewhere, my biggest problem would b getting a working visa and actually finding work =\ anyway, good luck with everything man, hope things work out for ur new life over there with your mrs and stuff!

Welcome to Cali. Victorville is a horrible example of Southern California. Come out to the coast when you can. We're an hr North of Los Angeles.

Welcome to the site and to california! I am a norcal kid originally but now all over the state i love norcal and southern california i suggest you see both and spend some time sight seeing the state before you decide were to move to. IF you already moved to victorville i would of moved some were else but what ever works for ya.

I hear australia is stict on censorship... everything from movies, to video games, to laws... bummer such a pretty country...

Yeah I mean Victorville definitely isnt the best place in the world, but not the worst either.
Anyways heres my story.

I grew up and was raised in rural Alabama. My entire life I have lived there, save for a few instances.
I have always wanted to grow marijuana since like 14. Starting at 16 I had my first successful crop(sinsemilla)
I grew until I felt enough heat from the cops, and decided I wanted to move to California to become legal.

I had just finished up a long job building a power plant making 14.50 an hour, and met a guy and made friends with him from the job. He was from victorville and told me anytime I wanted to come out I was welcome.

Well one day I had about 4k$ and decided to come on out, called him up and arranged everything, and drove.
Turns out he lived with HIS MOM, and she didnt care for me too much. I met a girl and brought her over to play pool for like an hour and hen she left his mom flipped and kicked me out.

Turns out the 4k was not enough to get started when you have no job or income, so I survived on it as long as I could and then flew me and the girl back to Alabama.

The girls name was Emily, and a few months after living together in Alabama, we were married. We stayed in Alabama for 2 years and I did another grow, which I was busted for. I spent 3 months in jail and when I got out me and my wife concieved our child.

Feeling the mounting pressure from authorities, and knowing my wife would be more comfortable during her pregnancy around her family, I decided to move back here to Victorville.

We've been here since Sept 2 and Im trying to get my grow started. We had a nreak-in and someone stole 700$ so thats not helping much.

Right now I have a 250w and 6 clones(2 Blue Dream, 2 Lavender, 2 Romulan) and am trying to grow mothers so that I can begin a perpetual sog.

I still have a long way to go but it would be nice if I had friends here so I had more lines on genetics, used parts, etc.

Hey im in new jersey and want to come out to nor cal in june. My brother came out two years ago and loves it. He is straight as an arrow. Been a quiet grower for 3 years plus but cant risk it here anymore.
How have you made out since the move?

Welcome to Cali. You are in the armpit of Cali though, I roll that way when going to Vegas. Don't know how you would grow over there with all the heat, your AC bill alone would be enough to move somewhere else. Best of luck to you and your family, it is really hard to get work over there too. I am on the Central Coast and don't even have to cool my hoods

OK bro you are in a pickle...

In LA you would thrive and your girl would be happy & distracted...

Out there in the high desert you are isolated, living in unfriendly San Berdo County an area teeming w/unfriendly LEO's, harsh weather conditions and no real way to sell your wares or grow for self safely...

In the SFV of LA, where I live, you could rent a shitty 2 bedroom Apt for $800 per month...

Or spend $1,200 + for a safe, decent spot for your family...

Here YOU can grow big and juss be another needle in the proverbial haystack...

2 million people live in this valley alone so flying under the radar is np...

I'd leave Victimville asap w a few thousand and juss go for it in LA its better than struggling in that hell hole w her family w no herbs or $ imho!

If ya ever journey down here ill give ya knowledge on where to go and where not to go so your safe here...

I'm interested to hear an update on how you are settling in SoCal. If I would have found this thread earlier I would have hit you up on one of my trips to Mountain High this past Winter. I would suggest you try and find work as a budtender at a dispensary. It will give you greater insight into the new frontier you face.
