New to concentrates/extractions

Hey! I want to start this thread for those who are just finding out about this BHO, wax, shatter, budder, amber, glass, Errl, ect. Living on the east coast of Canada, I only found out about this via interweb. And know few people who know of them. I my self feel I am no longer a smoker, but a dabber! I need someone to show me the ropes!
 
The way I is, is that my first taste of honey was my own. Yuk btw any way I have just made my 6 run ever and am very pleased! It actually looks like your guys's I've seen on her! But I now can I tell I I'm smoking grade A shit?

We grade our oil by appearance, taste, smell, and effects. If you can't find any other oil to compare it to, and it taste, smells, and effects to your satisfaction, I would say that you have a winner.

You got a point haha, but I mean more quality, I don't want to cook my brain ya know? I want to start dabbing but I don't want to be smoking butane, is high heat and constant stirring enough to get it all out or do I have to invest in a vac system?

You can purge without vacuum, but if you want to end up with shatter, it is faster and easier to control with a vacuum. If you are going to decarboxylate the oil for oral use later anyway, I would just use a 250F hot oil bath.
