Just wondering if any of you flood and drain gurus have any advice for me on my new adventure. Ive done dwc buckets, organic soil and now im on to a flood and drain table. What would you guys recommend for nutes and how often do you guys flood and for how long.

It depends on what media you're going to use. Clay pebbles? Coco? Rock wool? That will be a huge part in how often you flood. How long? Depends on the pump you decide to go with, how big the table etc. Ideally you want a fairly quick flood as well as drain time. The more often you can flood usually the better, so I choose a media that dries fairly quickly, clay pebbles.

What is your general setup going to be? I love flood and drain and I think I can help show you the way. Just need more info

Hey thanks for the reply dude. I have them in 4" rockwool cubes in net pots surrounded by hydroton inside the net pot. Currently i flood every 4 hours, i do a 10 minute flood and it takes bout 20 mins to drain after pump kicks off so like a 30 min flood pretty much. My table is 4x4. My pump does 529 gph so the table only takes 10 mins to be completely flooded.

That should work. That's what's nice about flood and drain... Simple. Can you get your table to drain any faster? not that it really matters. How deep do you flood? I'm guessing since you flood every 4 hours that you don't have roots coming out of your net pots yet? Once you do you'll want to flood more frequently like every 2 hours.
