New to Growing, Dinafem Fruit Auto

Hello all, new here. I am a veteran of the OIF war. I have severe PTSD and the only thing that seems to help my symptoms is Cannabis. I have been on a lot of pharms, ie Valium, Xanax and nothing worked. I decided to grow my own medicine. To start, I used a freebie from Attitude. Dinafem Fruit Auto. I have also got Critical Jack Auto, Arjan Strawberry Haze, and Biomass Diesel going, but this will focus on Dinafem Fruit.

To start, the Tude got me my order in the Midwest in 6 days going through Chicago. My second order the same amount of time and through ISC Chicago. No problems. I also ordered from Herbies and again no problem. It did take a little longer as it went to ISC San Francisco. Fine with me!! Still got seeds within 8 days.

I did not try to use the cup of water or napkin method to germinate. I bought a seed tray and humidity dome from a gardening store with some starter soil. Now I know I have not done everything right as this is my first time, but I have followed RIU extensively. I have a hydro system in a micro box with to 45WCFL and 45W LED. I also have a magnetic ballest that is switchable between MH and HPS at 400W. I am actually using soil for this first grow however.

After seedling sprouted I put them under a 300W equivalent CFL for a few days. First true leaves appeared about 3 days in. I probably transplanted too early but it does not seem to affect the girls. They went in 6 inch gardening pots at a week old. Fox Farms Ocean forest is the soil used. I mixed 1/3 with extra worm casings. No shock, she just continued to grow so far. When transplanting i did not like the stretched stem, so when transplanting, i buried her a little deeper. Now another set of leaves have formed and I gave her a mixture of FFBB. 4ml mixed with 32 oz of h20. I also use RO water. Today she kinda took off. Bigger leaves. She is now under 400w MH and temp is about 76 degrees. Any tips would be appreciated! Glad to be a part of the community.

Sounds like your doing good so far. Its hard to give advice when your not having any problems so far, you've obviously done your homework before starting which is something not enough people do. Best advice I can give I think is to just be patient with your plants and let them tell you what they need. To often new growers will over water or over fertilize there plants which causes all sorts of problems so try not to over due things, your plant will show signs of being thirsty or needing food and that's what you need to respond to. All a grower really needs to do is provide the right environment for there plant and nature will take care of the rest. Happy growing :joint:

Well, Im back. I do not think I have killed anything yet. I transplanted all of my plants, minus the photo strawberry haze in DWC that I will Scrog in a cabinet. 1 Critical Jack, 1 BioDiesel Mass, and 2 Dinafem Fruit Auto. I hope to get 4 oz out of the 5 plants. The autos are no longer going to be micro grow. They have all the room they need in a locked room in my basement under a 400w MH, then 400W HPS starting next week. Always good airflow, 74.6 degree when lights on. 20/4 light schedule, very light nutes until tiger bloom in about a week for the fruit. I did tear a fan leaf last night when transplanting. Ill attach pics, plan on perpetual grow. Pics will be of 23 day old dinafem fruit auto. If anyone wants to see others let me know. Any help would be appreciated. I have not been medicating because I refuse to buy mexican brick and support the cartel. So I am hoping my grow will supply me. I use about 1 oz per month. Thanks y'all

As a first grow, I am scared to do anything to them. My cab is set up for scrog but she is sleeping now thus i could not get a pic. I read a lot about lst, tim, etc but just don't know because I need my meds instead of killing her.

If you tie them down you should be ok i tied mine down in flowering since i didnt know and she is doing good. I even split the main stem in the middle and she recovered from it.

Probably another 35-40 days or so hopefully. There are 2 others about 1 week behind and another fruit that is about a week old and looking pretty good. My first DWC is looking pretty good and is a photo. That is when I will decide what I will grow in the future. Honestly a couple of oz from my four plants and I would be happy for my first grow. Hope it is possible.

Im new to this myself but if you do 90 percent correct id bet you would get a couple oz easy. So you are out of meds for 35 -40 days? Not all bag is mexican brick and cartel related :) but most cheaper bag are. Where i am if you pay less then 80 to 100 for a 1/4 you are smoking regular, ditch, dirt, mexican brick.

Yah, with investment in equipment and stuff gonna wait for my product. I always have VA medicine but that sucks and just knocks me out. My docs at VA actually are totally fine with me using Cannabis as a medicine, and I got a buddy who is a patient coming down for a week with some dispensary stuff.

Well today I switched to a 400W HPS bulb supplemented with a 68W CFL (300W equiv) There are auto plants under that set up. Temps remain good. If all goes well, I will start a little Tiger Bloom in about 5 days. Also my Strawberry Haze in the cabinet is growing nicely. Small but a cute little plant and the roots are getting to the rez. Tomorrow I am going to go buy a better air stone. I think next grow will be one N. Light in a home made dwc bubler. I hope the plants stay healthy and cannot wait for flowering to begin.

Today I fed the girls some Big Bloom and Grow Big.....very light on the nutes. 4 ml and 2.5 ml per 2 gallons of h20 respectively. Gonna post some pics toning, as the Critical Jack is really taking off. The plants seem to love the HPS light. Hydro is going, well different, it is developing quite quickly but still remains small. it is a photo going 12/12 scrog do to space concerns. Peace and love everyone

I have another fruit going, and it's first set of leaves are a little wilted. I put her under a 65 w cfl and I do not think I over watered or anything. All others are doing fantastic so I put the wilted one with others under 400w bc there is much better airflow. Does anyone have any ideas? I will post a pic in a bit. Second set of true leaves seem healthy.

CombatVet Hi and welcome to RIU! When growing photoperiod strains (not autos) for sure you want to learn to FIM and LST. These 2 very easy techniques can seriously up your harvest. When you FIM you actually only remove a very small amount of plant matter, so dont worry about killing her with those! When posting questions on RIU you will get a much faster and more accurate answer if you provide pics! Wishing you all the best with your grow!
