Hey guys I've never grown before and am wanting to give it a try. I'm interested in growing indoors in my garage. I'm looking for a tent setup large enough to accommodate 6 plants. What do you guys suggest tent size? Lighting? Etc. thank you and any help is greatly appreciated.

check out the DR60 or DR90 for in your garage, a 250 or 400W is PLENTY for those, 600 is overkill on your first run IMO, check out my journal i use the DR90, and have about 7 plants in there currently fitting fine. the DR90 is 3x3x6

I started with a 3x3x6.5 feet. grows 4 nicely with a 400. You also need a room fan and a centifugal fan/ducting. 600 is best overall but more heat. I use 600 now and the 400 in the veg / mother tent.

I just started in my garage as well. I bought a 2x4x5' tall tent and stuck a 600 watter in there. It needs at least a 240 CFM in line 6" fan to cool it, running all the time. No carbon filter yet, as I do not have any sizeable plants. :( Check my posts for my pics. I need some help! my seedlings suck lol.

Best of luck to you!

I'm trying to build a good setup and grow some top of the line bud. I realize the equipment is very important but what about the actual growing system itself. Is soil better to use or the hydroponic system?

Soil is more forgiving but indoors you can get better yields with hydroponics. A tent is nice but totally optional if your in one of the 15 states. If you have the space, money, and you got a dr recommendation then I would buy a 1,000 watt hps, then grow in large fabric grow bags with a rain bird drip irrigation setup and timer or go DWC. If you do a tent then figure 400w to 600w because to many watts in a tent causes heat issues.

Im trying to yield the most weight per plant. I talked to one of my friends and he said the most efficient way would be 1 plant to 1000watt bulb and the results should be a pound per plant. What do you say of that?
