Texas, there are lots of options out there. What is best? That's up to you. Look at the options and what seems good for you. I use a system that works for me. Is that best for you? Maybe. Look at the folks who use all of the different systems and check the pros and the cons. Should I have the beef or the fish? That's really up to you. Good luck with whatever you land on.

DWC buckets/totes are probably the cheapest to build, and produce some massive ass trees from what i've read....aeroponics, however, a lil more intricate and takes a lil more care with cleaning and whatnot, produces the best (again, from what ive read on here)...of course, any techniques, either those mentioned or flood tables (which is wat i use) will work efficiently...theres pros and cons to each...im switchin to DWC next, flood tables worked well for me but i had issues w/all the roots growin together, which didnt allow me to move my plants around...ill be usin 6 individual DWC buckets, this way, i will be able to adjust nutes/water temps individually to see what works best, and ill be able to see the results side by side...what are you lookin for, exactly?

simple stuff man.

home depot, ace, hardware store
-5gallon+ chiller container (keeps temps low which prevents root rot)
*3 gallon minimum... you need a good amount of room for roots
-drill/drill bits if any are needed to cut holes and place net pots inside
-anti-bug things.. many different kinds. something that hangs and kills/prevents spiders, bugs, etc is easy to hang somewhere..

hydro store or plant store
-some netpots to put the plants in
-nutrients for HYDRO, usually come in 3-part systems (3 different types of nutes for different times) -- careful you dont get soil food..
-air stone
-air pump (30 gallon pump is good)
-air stone lines/regulators if needed
-growing medium, like hydroton rocks or rockwool

you pretty much got everything else.. cant think of anything else right now.. just make sure you get some good quality water.. feed them properly, check the ph, temp, etc..
try not to use more than 1 plant per container.. the more room for roots, the better. I hate sharing resevoirs with other plants.. roots grow into each other and nute levels might be too high or too low for one plant while great for the other.
dwc rules!
good luck man

:D that helped alot man. i know what to get later on today. Im gona start growing as soon as i get my supplies. i think on thursday ill star a grow journal on my first hydro grow!
