Am i doing this correct. I was trying to wrap plant completely around pot. The lower branches have started to grow faster then what i call the true top as some are about a half inch or from the light. Since this is a cfl i have to keep all leaves no more then 6 inches from lights. what would you do at this time. would you lower plant or continue to leave plant where it is.

when you think you should...others can't really tell you when to stop your plant unless your posting pic's daily...i just started growing and lst'ing also its just trial and error....my side growth blew my main top out of the water..the main top is actually the smallest part of my mom now i bent it straight over and tied it down to get better growth on the sides and everything took off.. so just do whats needed and were you want it to grow...hope that helps

I did mine through veg then it gets a bit difficult to manage and quite time consuming if you have a decent amount of plants. Mine were spread out enough by end of veg that I was satisfied and stopped

From what I've heard the great thing about LST'ing your plants is that you can keep them in vegetative growth for... a long time, providing that you are keeping the plant trained to a low profile.. I have seen some rediculous LST grows where the grower must have kept their plants in vegetative growth for AT LEAST 5-6 months before flowering.. and the end harvest was legendary. Stop When You Can't Wait Any Longer!!!!

These plants were vegged about 45 days and have been topped a couple times, supercropped on a few branches, and obviously lots of LST. These are at week 3 of 12/12. Vegged and flowered under T5's.

I could only dream to learn enough to get plants that look like those...it looks like to achieve this I am going to need to learn to to super crop and top. If it worth doing this to plants that is not a mother. My main goal was to get more grow sites so I can clone more. I plan on flowering her but not sure when. Also when you are talking about topping do you mean the true top or all tops?
