Your pretty on point. Go to the farmers almanac.com and type your location and they will update you every day on how many hours of light are outside. As you already know once its just a bit over 12 you can put them out to veg. When mother nature starts lowering the sun under 12 hours a day which the almanac site will tell you then they will start to flower. As to when to crop, that is based on the strain. Some are as early as August and some as late as October. Good luck buddy!

Your welcome. You can always veg indoor with some cheap fluros to get ahead of the game a little also. Good luck and have fun. P.S outdoor weed is yields so much fatter than indoor. Check out uncle bens topping tek to learn how to get 4 main colas. Its a great thread just search for it.

yea iv flicked few a couple of his threads, i have topped before on my first crop actually but its not for me i just like to let the plants do there thing now.
i want this to be an all sun grow so il be starting her off on the window sill then after a week or so stick her straight out

That's exactly what I did last year with the window sill thing. Just put them in a spoy outdoor where they get as much direct sunlight as possible.

just thought i would clear this up a little bit 12 and 12 is only for indoors they will start flowering bewteen 14 and 13 hours of light . i dont get to 12 hours of light till mid sept. if it took that long i would never have a harvest.

Wrong! 12/12 indoor light cycle is to mimic the suns way of growing weed. In Florida we start our grows outdoor in mid to late march with less than between 12 and a half to 13 hours or sun and they do great!

But by april/may time were looking at 15+ hrs of light a day, if not then just have to wait a little longer.
When would you germ a seed for outdoor then? around June?

No! April 20 aka 420. every outdoor grower knows that. Don't listen to this other nonsense. Go to the Florida growers thread if you want some back on this. We know how to grow down here.

But dude i live the other side of the world to florida, i dont think id have a problem at all growing in florida or living there :blsmoke: lol
In the UK im thinking im gonna need to get her planted as the hours of light are racking up to 14+ per day.

I understand that, but in Fl we start in late April and there is only 13 hours of light here and they do great!

Just spoke to a mate who is very good at gardening (not just MJ)
and he agrees with u to plant at around the end of April . so il see how the days are looking by then and hopefully i can produce a monster lemon skunk!!

im not gonna fource anbody in to taking my advice but i will give it to ..you arre going to want to check out when your last frost is and then anytime after that u will be fine to plant 420 is night a time to be out planting it is time to be smoking what u grew the follwing year and making sure everything on the right track for the next year wich by that time is right around the corner. and the next thing i will say is do some reasearch your plant will start to flower between 14 and 13 hours of light prolly closer to 13 but somewhere in there u cant perdict a plant.. but i can assure u 12 by 12 means nothing outdoors so please do some reasearch before taking this fools advice.:hump:

i will be planting as the days are still getting longer so around may,
then by july when summer reaches its peak and we are getting most light she'l be nice and big (hopefully) Flowering is induced by the light time shortening so from then on to around September i should have some budma.
That is if the summer days in the UK are good enough this year.
Was gonna mention this before, about indoor and the 12/12 situation, we are trying to mimick the sun but with wacking them straight from 18/6 or 20/4 couldnt this be kind of a shock as plant naturally flowers with the sun gradually decreasing each day by a short amount?
would we be better off gradually bringing down the light time on indoor plants as the sun does?
