new to site, semi new to growing looking for some advise

the very few people that know about my garden know nothing about going. looking for some advice, tips, or opinions.

this is my third time growing. the first two times i did only one plant, from random seeds. i vegged outside and flowered inside with mild flowering booster. both times i had females by luck. this time i chose to do fully indoor with 6 seeds from a friend of a friend. all i know about the seeds are that his breader male pollenated his clones by mistake. and that they are a purple strain . they are all about 9 to 13 inches inches tall, and i trimmed them to all have 4 stalks. started them under fluros 80w. then recently moved to a larger 3x4x6ft room with a 600w enhanced spectrum hps. i have been doing 24hr light until i switched to the hps and have been doing 18/6.

one of my main concernes is that after 3 months they have developed the the shoots from wich the buds will begin to grow. but i have never seen a male plant, so i wont know how to tell the difference. each plant has one or 2 shoots, that seam to have a white-ish hair growing from the center. but i find it hard to believe i could be lucky enough to get all females

im not ready to flower yet and i want a bit more plant and stem mass. ive been using a organic 5-8-5, and a bit of wood ash in a soiless mixture, in 5 gal buckets. when it comes time to flower im going to do advanced nutrients bud blood, big bud, overdrive in a 3 step, and i've read good things.

today i bent the stocks on each plant to add to the bushy effect im looking for. so im sorry if the plants look mangled from the picture

not sure what advice you're looking for -you've done everything you can until they show sex - something more definitive than a single white hair (yes, its a good sign, but shit happens). you should have much larger plants after 3 months but if i understand correctly you just boosted your lights recently, so that could be the explanation. you shouldn't have to veg for any more than 2 months to get a good sized plant. for instance, the last indica dominant plant i vegged reached 18 inches in six weeks from seed under 16/8 mh lighting.

Are you LSTing or did you just bend them? If nor you should check out LST (Low Stress Training) It works great in small spaces. Happy growing.

Even if you've never seen a male you will know for sure when you see it. One day little balls will show up...can't miss them; kinda like a miniture greens bunch of grapes. The white hairs sound good but you can't be certain until the plants transition.

You could just keep the plants in veg until they reach the size you want. The ash that you use will raise you ph, make sure your ph is balanced so that the girls can take full advantage of the nutes. Your also using flow nutes (5-8-5), rigth now you want to give them something heavy in N (6-4-4) with not soo much P. Transition gradually but transition quick.

yesterday i added a tablespoon of some 5-1-1 fish oil , and a teaspoon of unsulfered molasses to 10qrts water. divided it up between the buddies. (was feeling bad about bending the colas back) this morning all the lower nodes started to take light and grow into mini colas.

i was excited last week when i moved to 600w of hps. but at first it was just heat stress. wich stunted growth for the last 3 or 4 days. i put a screen between the plants and the light to block out rays until they were used to that amount of lumens. took it off yesterday morning after they sprang back up.

im hoping the next two weeks they will take advantage of the hps and do alot of growin, considering i did pretty well while they were under 80w fluros.

after these. im going to order some dutch passion blueberry, mazar, and orange bud, probaly do one strain at a time. and clone them.

my second plant ws a true blueberry, and one thing i remeber about it was it took a long time to veg. and she got about 5ft tall.

Fish is always a good source for N, good move. Molasses is for flow and you can use way more than that, as much as 1tbs to a quart. To me that seems heavy so I half it. You should start seeing them grow like crazy in a few days so in 2 wks they should be real nice. Good luck, hope none of them end up shoving their nuts in your face. peace

Mix it at quarter strenght and move up to half strenght and feed every other watering. It is always better to fertilize your plants more often with a more diluted solution, than to give them concentrated doses at longer intervals. Also, it takes less Nitrogen than other nutrient to toxify soil, there's less margin for error when using it. Watch your girls close an address negative changes quick. peace

i thought it would best to do an update picture so people dont think im retarded for how sad my plants looked after being grown under fluros all thier lives and then having thier colas bent over.

now that they have been under the 600w hps for a almost two weeks i decided to throw them into the bloom cycle 2 days ago. added some budblood this morning. they look alot better. i believe alot of it has to do with the fish fert and molassas i added last week.

doing the bud blood/big bud/overdrive for the flower cycle. wish me luck
