New to site

Sorry to sound ignorant, but I'm new to forums, and not sure how to use them. Someone correct me if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm not a kid (58 yo) but I'm new to growing. Been buying for the last 28 years and now that I'm retired with a fixed income, I want to try growing my own. Started poking around and found this site.

Decided to try hydroponics for growing herbs. Got a simple system and now trying to grow basil, parsley, sage, etc. (This will fool my wife if I go to phase 2.) If I'm successful with this, I will spend the $ for a better light system and try marijuana (phase 2). When this happens, I'll log on and no doubt will be asking stupid questions. Realize that I'm not a kid; understand I'm new and want to learn and be successful!

I guess I will ask a stupid question now: is it safe to order seeds on-line for delivery to the US?

um i hear to use this site Cannabis seeds straight from the breeder/seedbank NIRVANA - High Quality Hemp Seed - Indica Sativa Feminized Marijuana seeds. never tried it my self but have heard that the are the best at delivering in the u.s. their very stealth and never jack you for your $. also it would be wise to have them delivered to a safe address and not where you going to grow. happy harvest Old school.

I don't have a safe place to have them shipped. I surely don't want to implicate any of my friends because none of them smoke. I gave up my "head" friends and stopped smoking when I met my girlfriend 13 years ago. The stress of this relationship (she has two girls who still live with us) got me back into smoking.

I haven't begun to grow ganja yet, so if I order over the internet, I'll have to have them shipped to the house and take my chances? I just hope my girlfriend (she's a wife now) doesn't get wind of this.

Alzgrow: I already have a hydroponic system called Emily and I'm using a fluorescent lamp for the herbs. Not certain how the hemp bucket works, or how much activity is involved in using one. I plan to buy an HID bulb/ballast and the Emily system when I move up to trying ganja.

Being away from this the past 8 years has been a problem. I have problems finding good stuff; one reason I want to try growing it. I have a fantasy of someone inviting me over to their set up and getting lost in a big bud! Wowl, what a fantasy.
