New to the Forum and have some Dispensary Questions

First off, Hello to everyone! New to the forum and I hope this isn't out of place as I couldn't really figure where to ask these questions, but maybe 2 birds, 1 stone in this section.

Currently I have a couple medical conditions that would allow for me to be legal, HOWEVER I'm not living in a legal state just yet. I have the option to move to Nevada, but trying to get the funds together to do so if I choose that state. I have also been looking at Colorado but have no friends or family there so pretty much NV looks to be the better option. My brother is already there and registered and could help me through getting setup once I'm there.

My questions,

1. If I relocate to a legal state, do I have to be a resident for a certain amount of time before being able to apply or get a my rights? (If someone from NV reads this I would like to know specifically about that state, but any info on other states are welcomed as well.

2. Once moving since I can't hold down a full time job because of my physical problems, what is the likely hood of being able to sell my product to a dispensary? I would honestly rather look at creating edibles and selling those (as I like to cook). I would plan on registering a DBA or LLC legally, but my concern is with edibles, I would assume (w/o much research) that I would have to register with the Health dept in some way ??

3. Could I legally sell my product to friends/family (registered patients) without having a store front?

Basically I'm wondering if I could produce a livable income from harvesting my own product and selling it (legally). Are despensaries always looking for new products or new places to purchase from? How easy is it to talk with the despensaries to see if I can sell my product to them? Do they require certain insurance, permits or what not to be able to buy from me?

Thanks for any and all advice!! New to the trying to be legal thing and trying to weigh out my options and have a steady game plan for when I put this all into motion.

Not sure about NV, but in Cali it would go:

1. You need some form of ID (drivers license or state ID card) to show you are who your medical card says you are

2. You should have no problem doing this. Go to the dispensaries near you and make friends, explain what it is you want to do and see if they're interested

3. Yes, provided they also have a legal medical card

Should be no problem

:)

Thanks for the input. NV is a no go from what I've been finding, the law seems to underline a patient growing his/her own. However, if I go there, I'll be in Reno, could I have a NV license and get a med card in Cali or do I have to have a residence in Cali? I've been told that if I had my med records and a "valid" (didnt matter from where) ID, that I could get my med card for cali. Is this true, or must I be a resident of Cali?

Good luck man on the move, I hope soon that all the states will implement the use of marijuana for medical use. Untill then, moving to a legal state if possible would be the logical thing to do.

Remember selling to a dispensary may sound easy, but when you consider what they are looking for it is truly someone who is somewhat an expert at growing quality weed. That comes with experience and to make a good impression without having experience I would offer to volunteer and gain respect through hard earn work. Maybe he might be impressed with your grow eventually and it lead to something.

Getting a dispensary to buy you stuff isn't as easy as signing a contract.

How likely would it be for me to find part time work at one of those places or like you said, even volunteer ?? I'm not expecting results overnight, thats for sure, but looking towards the future!! I would REALLY like to see TX become legal but not sure how fast that might happen. I'm never in the right place at the right time! LOL

Hmm....this I don't know sorry

I've never lived outside Cali until recently and the laws differ from state to state
