New to the Site and Doing My First Indoor Grow....

The white widow caught my eye, I happen to be smoking it at the moment.
Welcome to the site, glad to see you are using rapid rooters as opposed to paper towels. Paper towels towels work for germination, problem is every seed germs at a different rate...making sowing the seeds at the proper depth somewhat difficult.
I use a 600 plus CFL's for roughly the same size area, and as you can see the set-up will flower about 6-7 ladies...more if I didn't insist on growing them so large in 5 gals.
And if given the choice, I'd use that organic starter mix over the MG.

LM - what kind of temp are you running in that tent with 600W? I don't see where you have any fans or filters in there? Am I too concerned about keeping things around 75? Maybe I need to buy me a sun? lol.Heres a few pictures for just now.

Just for the hell of it you ought to just once try germinating seed in a starter pot with soil. You will be amazed
2 heat pads, rooters, paper towels, tupperware, and shirts?
It can be as simple or as difficult as you want to make it.

Just had one germinate today, checked it when it first cracked with a little tail now the tail is a good length so I planted it in the Organic Seed Starter Soil. I am using the MG when they get older.

Thank's it's an Apollo Horticulture like the lights. 60x60x80. I have the fans and will by a filter and ventilation soon. Great tent, thick no cheap plastic smell.

Yes I just have not put in the fans yet. I checked the temps in there at 600 watts 100% with the MH and it stayed in the low to mid 70's when it was cooler. 68 was the lowest it got at night when it was in the 30's outside.

Just checked recently and another good sized tail on a white widow. Put another in Organic soil. So now have 3 in soil 1 Sensi Kush Germinated waiting for sprout and 2 white widow 1 germinated and other just straight to soil.

I wished seed banks used UPS instead of USPS because when I get packages from UPS they are always precise tracking and get here fast. USPS on the other had sucks balls most the time. 10 years ago it was a bit different though with UPS.

3 out of 4 germinated now but growing the 3rd ones tail a bit longer...

5 out of 5 seeds germinated... last one growing it's tail and then putting in organic soil.

I miss my perfect record. The first loss is hard to take. You ever hear of seeds that need to be scuffed in order to absorb water?

My first losses were both Dinafem - Blue Thai. I have wondered since if was just something I did, or if these might have been like that. I didn't read about it until losing those two. It was still probably me. We are most often the problem...lol. I wonder if that is something that would be listed on the breeder packs. (I have never gotten one). Think it's one of those things that's mostly outdated now? I think it was an old hippie book...lmao
