From what I remember older people talk about when I was a kid it was the cotton industry taht pushed to have HEMP banned due to it was cheap to make paper clothes and stuff.....but it all encompessed the pot with THC .........this is from memory not google....maybe someone can do a better job than I did of explaining......I may be wrong but that was the talk when I was a kid.

It has a lot to do with the cotton industry. It has even more to do with the pharmaceutical industry. They dont want it legalized because they cant make money off of MMJ. Lol, if this world would just look outside money momentarily, we would be rich after the adjustment.
