p.s. next year grow more so if your plant is male youll have others
Oh next year I will for sure grow more. It was almost an accident that I found this one seed and planted it pretty much precisely when it needed to be planted. Pretty fortunate that it sprouted and has been doing so well really. I think the plant is destined to be a female given all the other special circumstances. At least that's what I'm holding on to. I'm leaving it for 3 days, going camping. It will be good for me to get away from it but I can't wait to come home and hopefully see more conclusive evidence one way or the other.

I thought I would post an update. I'm happy to say, those that were predicting male were wrong. It only started flowering about 12 days ago. Growing very quickly now. Couldn't be happier with my first plant, just had to share.

nie lookin plant tho, happy ur first grow worked out, many first timers fail due to over feeding /watering ect. pretty much they give their plant to much attention, its a weed, it can pretty much grow ne where, and it doesnt take that much to grow it, but many ppl on this forum make it out to be like some foreign exotic plant that u need to give constant attention, to keep it alive, u did good tho, theres alot of bullshit going through this forum, and in my opinion ppl are better off learning there own way than listening to others "opinions",so keep up the good work for continuing years what ever u did this year, continue it next year, and the best thing u can do is experiment, for instance some ppl like to trim fan leaves off others say leave em, do one of each next year if u can, to see how the results differ, do little experiments each year u grow, and u will refine and perfect ur growing technique, dnt read into the bullshit, but yea u have a beatiful healthy plant, like i said keep doin what ur doing with just minor tweeking to refine ur methods

So my plant is budding like crazy! I've been checking the trich's and they all appear cloudy. Weather has been optimal, 85-90 degrees for the last 2 months but this weekend things are supposed to change. Low 70's and rain. Weather should turn cold by October. Any clue when this girl will be ready? I'd like to harvest before the weather turns real cold. These pics were taken about 5 days ago.

Need some help here guys. My concealment (sunflowers) plants all toppled over last night from some high winds. Now my plant pretty much sticks out like a sore thumb for all my neighbors to see. Can I harvest this thing now and still get some good product. trich's are all cloudy. Please reference pics from yesterday's update.

ANY IDEAS?!

No, don't do this to yourself. If it just started flowering in Mid August, it still has AT LEAST another few weeks to go. Early-Mid October if possible. It will be twice as potent and you'll harvest twice as much. Your neighbors won't notice anything when you simply find something else to conceal it. Can be anything just a break up the outline of it. If you would like, check on the thread link in my signature. I believe I give some real general step by step on growing large plants outdoors with plenty of pictures. Good luck bro

Here are a couple pics from today. I think this lady is pretty much done. It is my first grow but I would say she gets chopped this weekend. Any reason why I should wait longer?

i think you could wait a little longer but you can also chop it now and if u dont know what curing is or if u dont know how go over to that section now and read some stuff there......Shocked at how good that looks for a first grow my first was crap lol

Thanks patsbrady...yeah, I'm pretty shocked at my results too! I've been studying the Harvesting and Curing stickies and I'm fairly confident I can't mess up that part too bad. I'm inspecting the trichomes through a 20x loop meant for print inspection. It appears that the trichs on the lower branches appear to be more done than the main cola. Closeup pics above are from the bottom limbs. I just don't want to harvest early so that's why I ask for a second opinion.
