Hey everyone this is my first post on rollitup.org so bare with me and I’m pretty stoned lol. So basically this is my first Veggie grow cabinet I got two seeds from some local Kush and let them germinate. I did not expect them to be fully sprouted in 2 days so I just threw something together in my cabinet. They are currently getting 18/6 lighting.

Cabinet:

  • · 20 x 24 “

  • · 2 - 24 watt 6500k 800 lumens (will be upgrading to 4 very soon)

  • · 6” – computer fan (hanging above for now)

Plant material:

  • · Cana Terra organic soil

  • · Volcanic rocks

  • · Distilled water

  • · 2 plastic bottle ends with 2 holes in the bottom

  • · Sitting in plastic tray for now

So that’s basically all I have I’m open to all criticism I know I have a lot more to do like find my nutrience and get some Mylar for the walls get a good intake and exhaust and more. But please help me out let me know what you guys think? I do want to keep the budget and low and stealthy any suggestions? (ps the plant on the right was put into the soil 2 days latter then the other)

Welcome to RIU! you are putting the cart before the horse a bit im afraid. You should get a small hps or some strong CFLs in there quick. you will need an exhaust fan, for that small space pick up 4" booster fan for HVAC systems or a 4" vortex fan if you can afford it. if you have a small desk fan put it in there to help strengthen the stems. its going to cost you a bit, about $400, to get it done right. in the mean time put some duct tape around those bottles to keep the root zone dark.

Good advice SCCA.

The black on the inside will absorb a lot of light, maybe paint it white or put mylar on the inside. (keep an eye on the temp if you use mylar). Be sure that it is completely light tight or you'll end up with a herm. Hows the humidity?

Good luck!
