yeah if your gonna grow in a space that big mite as well say fuck it an get a hid system you will much happier

my results speak for them selves as you can see in my current grow and my equipment and methods are far more advanced than yours. Im quite bored explaining basic concepts top you ive seen plant yeild 1g to 1kg what your saying makes no sense what so ever. To be fair if you don't recognise Ed Rosenthal as a reliable source of info your a lost cause and wont be entertaining your posts any more as you have no clue on the subject of growing cannabis and have not offered one shred of evidence on your claims autos are crap even though lab reports confirm high potency.

"That big" will depend on strain, grow method, lighting and plant number
issues.

Could I just ask what is the perfect heat for a growdrobe? Would it be worth getting a 400w hps light in a wardrobe

Well this is what I'm thinking 4x 125w red CFL and 100w t5 blue with s couple little fans going on 5 autoflowers spund okay and also drape a few little cfls around plants aswell.

for me i like around 75-80f

to be fair mate cfls are the worse light i have ever used get the 400w bank of t5's if heat is an issue or pick up a 400w hps with aircooled hood both rrp is about the same

it will give you far better results in the long run the light is 1 of the major limits of growth dont skimp on it

we agree on one thing go with a hid system this was my first cfl grow too and in not to happy switching to my 600 next month after this harvest just waiting on my tent to come in prob be doing a single plant scrog and agito i wasnt tryin to be an ass just 2 diff ways of thinking yours works for you mine works for me no hard feelings

Im running 12-600 watters for a total of 45 watts per sq/ft, running a perpetual grow I pull off 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 lbs a week.

50 watts per sq/ft is the base requirement for proper stimulation and growth. 100 watts per sq/ft is not a cost effective way to grow because after 50 watts your room size dictates plant size also. One sq/ft of floor space can only produce so much cannabis no matter how much light, water or food you give them.

IMO I do not believe it is cost effective to run that amount of watts, if it is taking you 100 watts per sq/ft to produce bug yeilds then your doing something wrong and should look to other aspects of your grow.

There is a huge difference between 100 watts from the HID family when compared to CFL's or flouros. Intensity and penetration mainly.

Hes refering to 100w per plant and i 100% agree with you

we are all on about real wattage drawn not vs incandescent wattage here here. you should also factor in 20% more wattage into the rule for hps vs cfl
The min ive seen with hps and good results is 40 psf add 20% for cfl which is around 50w psf plus t5's are better output than cfl so 50w psf should be sweet for flower

also intensity/penetration can be compensated by using shorter plants or a scrog net

and yeah no hard feeling here

Ok this is how it goes. When looking to buy a stereo amp. for a 400 watt handling set of speakers you buy a 100 watt amp and say it will work just fine...... Ok, same for growing. Anything less then 400 watts hps/air cooled for heat in watts is like a starter kit. It will work but you will have a lot more work to do to get very good results. If you dont know you want to spend the money or time then get a T5 3ft. that will do very well for veg. and good money spent on it going forward. If money isnt an issue Id do much research on led lights.

I have a 400 watt mh I believe hid or w.e like 25 dollar light reflector and a welthink 120 to 240 volt electronic ballast how much can I sell all this for I wana sell it to get the energy saving t5s

if you wanting to flower you want about 1000w in a 4x4 and half that for veg

If you cant afford to run a 1000w or never mind a 400w dont use a 4x4 room a 400w t5 system will still use the same power as a 400w MH so your saving no money if anything the MH would be better but if it can take a regular hps bulb this will also step up the yield as it has more par watts

It might be an idea to start your own thread if you need more detailed info

Well got a problem I think... my closet is 2'8" by 2' by 9. Wit 400 mh. It hard to keep heat down i I have to leave the door half open... but also another q? I have 3 clones bout make 1 a mother but I wana know how small a pot I can use but for the clones to be fairly good... I was lookin at sum 1 gal. Cuz I wana but like 8 clones at once in my 2'8" by 2' closet I know a lil bout growinn just like hearing from diff exp or pro's! Also I have a reg box fan at top of closet blowing down on them so it keep it cool 75 to 80
