first grow 5-6 weeks flower stems on upper fan leaves turned red purple is this normal or is this nutes getting drawn from leaves?
newbie first grow red stems?

Red stems are usually a sign of magnesium deficiency . Try raising the cal/mag .

Hello zig zag, IMO. I have only got a red Vien in the stem when My Ladies get to cold, But being it is in the summer I can't see how that would be an Issue, so if that is not the problem the Cal/Mag, may be the soulution. if your wiery to try it you can do it one one or two of you ladies, see if she comes back without purple. I noticed the purple is on your Leave stem, it is that what you are refering to ? if so that should be of no concern, the ladies look good. are they sativa ? if so they have maybe 4 more weeks and if not , and they are Indica 2 more weeks they should really fill out.

I would disagree with the other 2 saying cal/mag issue. I want to go with it being a phosphorus deficiency

Not sure if they are sativa or indica as they were bag seed im gonna go with sativa as the leaves were not wide and chunky but skinny and long?? i am going to try and keep the temps up during the night while the lights are off as it has been cooling down in the evenings here.thanks for all the input and keep on tokin...

add some cal mag to your feeding regimen...imo i wouldnt worry about it too much as your plants looks good

Do you run lights on during the day? If so flip it around so your running them thru the night.

yes lights are on from 7am-7pm. is it all right to flip the light cycle after being 12/12 for 5-6 weeks i worry about stressing them being so close to finishing?

Red stems mean nothing but a healthy plant , red veins on leafs is phosphorus deficiencie from what Ive read. I've never personally seen red leaf veins though.colder temps also ref or purple things up sometimes.

yeah not sure changing it this far in. do it from your next run. i like to veg 18:00-12:00 and flower 18:00-06:00

It could be many differant deficiencies. but like I said they look great, and yes they do look like sativa strain with the narrow leafs, and strechyness, they are looking good so a few weeks them ladies are going to gain some nice weight, Keep up the good work

im no pro but i would sway towards indica,pretty early to tell imo leaves need to develope more.like i said im new to this .

came home from work today and the shorter of the 2 was starting to lean from the weight of the cola ,may have to think about supporting it ..and imo thats not a bad thing.
