I never did it that way and there's no reason that some "rule" on P can't be bent.....Might call for a try.....I did like the Nova line! Kinda dirty for an ebb but, good stuff otherwise!

On week 8 of flower I did, but It was my first time using PK 13/14 and I way overdid it, so i don't think it was from the flora nova. I've seen quite a bit of people using it with no issues that's why I went to doing it.

I don't doubt you though, I'm sure it's certainly not the optimal way to grow, but it does work well if you want to save some money and still grow a good plant. Also I only veg for like 4 weeks so possibly vegging a long time with it might not be good.

Yeah i've seen a lot of guys say they dropped using it from it clogging pumps and whatnot, it's some thick shit.

No problem bro, Im going to lower the PPm's as I get closer to harvest. I will definitely do some more reach on the topics you mention. This is my first crack at growing cannabis. I'm upgrading to HID next run.

Temps are usually around 75-81f• 45-55% RH

Alright guys, I think it's time to call in a little help. I had originally taken the dark green leaves as a sign of nitrogen toxicity. Changed the res and used 1/8th nutes. Woke up today to find the attached pictures. I'm now wondering if I mistook my diagnoses and am actually suffering from a phosphorus deficiency. Leaves are darkish green, but have brownish/gray areas, stem is purple, and the leaves feel sort of brittle. The previous res was stable at about 6 pH, so now I'm thinking I might have been locked out of phosphorus causing the problems. Thoughts?

Your plants are hungry those purple stems looks like cal mag def... Your lockouted out becuase of Over watering....

So ya maybe up the dose ?

It's in a DWC system, so I can't really over water :P pH is currently about 5.7 (lowered it to give them some time to soak in some phosphorus as the chart says it's locked out after 5.8. Looks like calcium is locked out above 5.8 as well. It was at about 6 stable for nearly a week. Giving them some more nutes and going to keep the pH in the 5.8 range. We'll see if they turn around or get worse.

No worries, I didn't mean for it to come off in a smartass way if it did. It's my first grow so I know there will be mistakes, it's all about learning. I'm taking notes as I go along to help improve on my next grow. After a have a couple of successful grows with the ole bag seed I'll invest in some quality seeds.

A little mid week update. So the first two sets of leaves, ones I had already trimmed, and the ones in the picture from above didn't make it. It was just too little too late and they had dried up and got brittle. The roots had gotten limp and sort of clumped together. They didn't seem to like even on 1/4 strength nutes. Bumped them up to 1/2 strength nutes and there is some nice new root growth and the new leaf growth appears to be looking good.

'Step child', which appears to be sativa dominant, got it's LST adjusted and some middle/inner leaves trimmed as it had no inner light penetration.

Weekly update time. They have bulked up some since last week, still moving along. Roots are nice and long. They all have root systems that are long enough to reach the bottom of the 6 gallon bucket. Hopefully they will be ready to start flower by the end of next week.

Well as of this morning they have bushed out more and are now covering the entire top. I'm strongly debating going ahead and throwing them into flower. Thoughts/advice?

I went ahead and started 12/12 as of last night. 'Fiona', the seedling that took off initially and showed some great promise is up to her old tricks again. Brown spots on the leaves, kind of crispy/brittle. With it's initial great growth and look I had planned to clone from it, but it seems to be very finicky compared to the other two so that won't be getting cloned.

It's three plants in a single 6 gallon DWC bucket. Since it was bag seed, I didn't want to veg a long time only to end up with males nor did I really have the room for three to veg big. They were vegged for three weeks since seed pop. Throwing them in flower to find out sex and take some clones to then use in the next grow with a 20 gallon res. I know it will be a low harvest, but was more about finding sex, getting viable clones, and getting some experience.

Weekly update time. Still coming along. They have doubled in size since last week and have been in 12/12 all week. Hopefully they will start showing their sex before too long.
