Newbie Needs Help

Okay...first grow newb here.

I am growing skunk I picked up from Amsterdam Seeds.

Growing in soil Fox Farms Forest Mix... it was perfect PH when I started.
For the first week it was looking good. Fast growing. Nice and healthy.

Then... I had to leave town for a week. Left watering to a friend. Three days later... I just received phone call saying that leaves were turning yellow and some wilting.

The water is a solution of H20 with Grow Big and a bit of Big Bloom. I am trying to follow the Fox Farm schedule (but a bit diluted from their suggestion). I premixed before I left.

The photos are attached. Can anyone give any advice?
I haven't had friend yet PH yet. I told him to just water with H20 not fertilizer solution till I figure it out. Oh ya... he is only watering once a day. The mix has very good drainage.

I had my friend take pictures and email them me. They are attached.

Thanks in advance!

looks like over watering / nute burn to me. could also need transplanting.

how old are the plants? u shouldnt be giving them anything except water for the 1st 3-4 weeks.

id say stick to water for a couple weeks. and u might not need to water once a day.

for a easy guide, u can stick ur finger about an inch down in the soil, if u get soil stuck to ur fingers then u dont need to water.

not watering and letting the plant 'find' all the water will expand and get stronger roots. u just have to be careful for watering.

when u transplant into pots with drainage then u can water until it starts to drip out at the bottom

Probably over watered. Roots get drowned and die off. I let the soil dry completely before I water.

Try and dry em out. If they won't dry out then u know you overwatered. U can use a hydrogen peroxide (h202) and water mixture to try and get oxygen to the roots if the soil won't dry after a few days

Very basic gardener's advice- "when in doubt, dry it out"
