I just put together a top drip system and have a question ... How many cycles should I run in a 24h period and for how long each cycle . I will be using Hydroton as my medium.. I know its not recommended but its what I have to work with..Any help would be nice, Thanks.
My drip system waters once a day when the lights turn on but I am using a coco/soil medium. Keep your water oxygenated with an airstone and just tinker with it. Maybe once every 15 min. if you are using clay pellets, because they don't retain any water..
Most drip systems into pots of rocks that I've seen drip continuously when lights are on. The GH Waterfarm has a drip ring around the plant that runs 24/7.
