When does a plant leave the seedling stage a start to veg, I mean when can I start to feed veg nutes ??? I have Lowryder 2 x AK47, Purple Lady, Super Skunk.
My seedlings are 5-6 days old, that's 5-6 days after the first set of leafs came out, I'm going to try hydro this time, never tryed growing hydro, only soil. Seedlings are growing there 3rd set of leaves now. You're generally out of seedling stage by the fifth or sixth node of growth being apparent and the cotyledons have withered away. Start with very light nutes.
Thank you, that was the answer I was looking for.You can start feeding around the end of 3 weeks after u cracked the seed, make sure u go very soft with the nutes at first, make sure those little things can handle what your feading it. You are growing lowryder tho so at the end of the 3rd week beggining of the 4th week the plant should be showing sex and entering the flower period. So u may want to go with bloom nutes once you know the sex of the plant and forget about veg nutes. hope this helps
My seedlings are supposed to be females. So i just transfered the Lowryder2 x ak47 to the 250HPS. Is lowryder good for hydro or best in soil ??since your babies havent sexed with i would, maybe when u first notice the sex so probly soon after u get it

Yeah I have 3 for now, but just placed a order for 20 more (10 fem and 10 regular), I need to fill up a 4'8x4'8 tent. Gonna try to fit 16 in there, if everything goes well.Oh, also, how many plants do you have total? Three?
My plans is to get a 1000 hps or those 1000 dual spectrum (400MH + 600HPS in one bulb) with cooltube as soon as they reach 2 weeks old, HTG Supply is a 20 min drive for me.Well, I have no experience with most commercial hydro nutes, simply because I'm pretty decent with mixing my own from other sources.
On your lights, I can help you. For those three plants, those two 54w T5HO lamps will work well for the starting phases. After a couple of weeks from now, you will want to move to the 250. I prefer to not use light wastefully. Using 250 for three starting plants is a bit harsh, IMHO. Once they get big enough for the 250, use that and if you can put one T5HO on each side to add good side lighting and help give a more complete spectrum.
Now, for all of those plants you have on order, you're going to need something bigger and better. For now those T5s and that HPS should work fine for those three plants all the way through flowering.
