I'm new to this forum, but thought I would join as I had a question or two for my next percy harvest. I am thinking of trying 2 sour secret and 2 purple og18 plants. I'll be hunting for 2 phenos in the SS and 1 pheno in the POG18 so i need a little luck.
I will be starting a journal as there isn't much info out about these two strains when it comes to growth. I will be using a mixture of coca soil and pebbles for good starting nutes and good drainage (I contemplated mixing my own soil, but it's too much effort at this point in time). I may invest in auto pots as I like the idea of directly feeding roots.
I will be starting the process by using a 400mh in 20/4 for the first two weeks whilst keeping the humidity around 70 percent. After the first set of true leaves appear, I am going to switch the lights to 18/6 and bring the humidity down to 60 percent. I will start giving nutes once I switch the lights to the "optimum" vegging cycle. Top branches will be LST'd andI will top once (at the second or third node). Once a half decent bush has appeared it will be lollipopped and scrogged. Once I achieve a 1/2 - 1 foot growth above a 1/3 filled screen, they will be flipped and put on a 600hps
when they get flipped, they will be getting correct nutes for bloom and humidity will get taken down to 40 percent. 6 weeks before harvest sugar will be added to the water to help swell buds. 2 weeks before they are nearly finished (I will bechecking them and looking for around 30 percent amber trikes) they will be flushed and given less water to increase resin production. If flower takes 9 weeks then I'll be looking at a 15 week cycle.
pH will be kept at 6.7.
my questions are
would a 400 or 600 metal halide be best for vegging?
what sized pots would I need for veg/flower
based on strain, growth and techniques used, how many oz do you think I would get from a single plant.
