Newbie to this hobby and might of screwed up.

Hello everyone, as the title implies I might of screwed up and would like some opinions. This will or would be my first time growing depending on replies and googling. My state isnt one of the friendly ones and foolishly I drove and bought my supplies from the local hydro shop with my own vehicle. Included in my purchases was different books, and as I was reading about security the book mentions about driving a different vehicle to the hydro shop in case local law enforcers are watching who's coming and going. Does anyone think I boned myself because of this?

I'm new to this too, and looks like you kind of started out like I did, by reading books.

I can't remember the exact name of the book, I've read so many, but I remember reading that same thing in one book at some point, don't take you're own car to buy stuff, so I bet we've read the same book.

Well, I don't disagree with that, and yes, it would be prudent to not go in your own car, but let's face it, if the hydro shop was there just to sell stuff to grow weed (which they may be, but so many plants can be grown hydroponically), they would get busted themselves and not be in business.

Plus, there's the freedom of speech thing. Just because you bought a book on growing weed, doesn't prove you're doing it.

So I'd bet you're OK. There is a hydro shop in my area the I have bought stuff from, but I've got a lot of my stuff online also. Where ever it's cheaper is where I buy it.

Lazy Narcs will monitor hydro shops so if your really paranoid hold off on your grow a few months. Always pay in cash at these local shops. I would rather take my chances with getting it shipped Fed Ex or UPS. HTG Supply is a great cheap online shop and many RIU members use them......Good Luck

Spoc's right, you can't go wrong with HTG, they are good guys for sure. I've never had a problem with them, but I've known of a few who had (just random small problems), and they took care of it immediately, they stand behind of their stuff, and they ship quick.

As a matter of fact ALL my "hardware" is from HTG.

Thanks SmokeMore and Spoc for your insight i appreciate it. Think i will hold off for a bit to be safe, waited this long what's a little longer gonna hurt. Googled this scenario and read a bunch of horror stories. Aside from trying my hand at this new hobby, i must say this site rocks, great peeps in here from all over the world with similar thinking towards this beautiful plant. The healing of the nations in one little plant!
