newbie with harvest question

hi everyone,
I am new to growing and I am stumped on when to harvest my critical sensi star plant. I have been watching the trichomes and the buds develop and she is only on her 6th week of flower 12/12 but has lots of amber trichomes. I am growing in ffof with organic nutes. I vegged for 8 wks to get a larger plant before inducing flowering. The pistils are starting to turn color as well. Online sources say she finishes in 56 days. Anybody have any advice? Thanks in advance :) Here are a couple pics from today.0513150856a.jpg0513150847c.jpg 0513150857a.jpg

I just took my scope, focused in on them while holding the scope down flat on the table with the leaf underneath in one hand, then i turned my cell cam on and put the lens over the scope eye piece with the other hand and snapped a pic :)

Yea those def look amber in the pic, but they're almost perfect spheres. Did you snap it with an hps or something on?

trichs do what they want on some strains, but usually an amber one will look distorted at the head. Slightly crumpled.

The only light was the led light on the scope. Could they be amber but still intact (not degraded) because of the fact that the strain is high CBD and the plant is only halfway through week 6 of flower? Maybe on some strains it is normal to have early ambering trichs even though I haven't found any evidence to support/dispute this idea? Other than that I am stumped, lol. Thanks for responding :)

Hmm that could very well be. I hope someone with good experience(maybe a caregiver) pops in because that is pretty interesting. Never thought of pristine cbd trichs on high cbd strains.

If you're scope has a light than its probably an acurate pic. 6 weeks is probably a bit soon to worry about the trichs too much. Your calyxes should swell any day though.

I did clip a little bit off one of the buds yesterday for an impatient friend to try tho... She was almost zombified, lol. Said her legs were numb, couldnt hold a conversation and couchlocked for sure! Now I can't wait to try the finished product in a few more weeks, haha.
