newbie with some Q's

I am going to attempt my first grow in a month or two, right now Im just doing a litttle pre run with some bagseed on the window sill.
here are my questions

1. my grow room is going to be 6'6"x4'x4'6" maybe a little wider but not much
what would the light requirments for this size of an area be? would 2 400w hps with some flouro tubes for side lights be enough?

2.if I use a co2 tank can I still use a activated carbon filter in the grow room just resirculating the same air rather than bringing in new air to keep the smell down?

3. without air flow will my room/lights over heat?

4.how many plants can I expect to fit in this area(half the blants being white widow and the ofther half being big bud)

5.how lang can I expect a 20lb co2 tank to last me?where can I find a cheap co2 ppm meter? if there is such a thing I haven't been able to find one

6.how can I grow a male for seed producing pourposes in the same grow room without making the rest of the females produce seeds?

for the size room your looking at i would buy 1 600watt hps, two 400watts is cool too but the floro tubes seem like over kill to me. although you can never have to much light! you cant recirculate the same air.. you need fresh air from outside or from a larger room!! the only thing a carbon filter is used for is attaching to your exhaust vent so that the smell filters through the activated charcoal and depleats the old air of its skunky smell .in that big of a space you might be ale to get away without venting the heat but be safe and consider ventilation. you seem to be very worried about co2. to be frank with you your not going to need co2 untill your second week of flowering so your main concerns should lie in what medium you are going to use and what type of system are you going to use.. i.e hydro, soil, aero or whatever good luck and happy growing!

don't know (don't use CO2)

very likely - besides fresh air has CO2 and is necessary for healthy growth. a breeze also helps strengthen the plants.

depends on how big you plan on growing them

any male would pollinate the females in the room/general area. marijuana is a weed and very good at reproducing itself (making seeds).

1. prolly be enough light, but not for seedling maybe. Dont use the hps for seedlings. Its like telling a toddler to go lift weights.
2. Put carbon filter in your room, not the closet. And you can produce co2 in better cheaper ways than a tank.
3. YOU HAVE GOT TO COOL THE BITCH DOWN WITH SOMETHING!!!!! Especially if you got two 400 watt hps light
4. Depends hoe big you grow em. Looks to me like you are tryin to find quality and quanity in two places. Good thinkin
5. There are certain molds you can grow by mixing shit out the fridge that produces an butt load of Co2. Do some research
6. And if you are tryin to make seeds than you must grow a male an female in an extremelyair tight space. I recomend doin it outside when it gets warm. You will get like 30% more!!!

outside is a no go for me, I think I will do a small grow cabinet just big enough for 2 plants using compact flouros( in a seperate room from where my grow room is located)

if you mean yeast I don't think yeast will meet my requirments, I can get a 20lb co2 tank for $50, the reason I was asking a bout co2 is because I was told that as long as you can keep the co2 levels high enough then you don't have to bring in new air

Well if you wonna make good seeds then dont do it while your growin your bud, because if male pollen gets to them buds then its game over. Pollen can easily travel through a house. Outside they travel up to miles to find a female. Its a big risk man.

And as far as the co2 tanks go, i have no clue, never used em and dont mess with em. But if its your first grow the i would mess with all that. Just get a few crops down and slowly progress from there. Dont exspect to make super grade A kill first grow.

I think I have my cooling problem figured out,the lights I want to use come with the option to add a reflector that is made to have a inline fan run through it
heres the light I want to get

and the reflector I want to use

I was thinking of setting up two of these and using a 8 inch inline fan to suck cool air directly from outside my grow room and through ducting directly through tese reflectors and back out of the room in a straight shot(as to not bring any skunky air out with it so I don't need any filters for the light cooling)
