hey apollo

I just signed up today too but I read alot before I joined. I have a very basic DWC setup that I plan to use You should add me to see my grow I have a few started already but I'm going to start a few more tonight. Im going to try to add you because I want to see someone elses grow from beg to end.

your gonna need a bunch of pots start small work your way up end in a 5 gal
This is the confusing part? i have read that pot size is critical? so i dont want to get it wrong, some say start in a large pot so you dont have to move it? some say move it only once?

i would start in a solo cup then to a 1 gal then a 3 gal rest of veg before you flower put into a 5gal it will help build a good root mass that way

I didn't look at the dimensions of the tent but 6 plants in 5g buckets might not work.Pot size is important but not a deal breaker.I germinate in small cups, then transplant as soon as it sprouts three fingered leaves into 5g.When choosing your containers you want as big as possible for your space,be creative you can use a lot of things for containers, the bag of soil itself in pillowcase, old waste baskets,5g buckets(me),soda bottles, anything that will contain soil:).GL.peace

Lots of different opinions for lots of different growers. Pot size while important, also has a lot to do with roots. You don't want roots to get bound in each other it causes rot and stress to the plant. So if you want to use small pots to start with it's fine so is a big pot too. If using small pots just make sure you transplant to a bigger pot before they get too many roots for that pot. You can usually get a good bead on this by looking at bottom holes on pot and seeing if roots are showing. If using a big pot you'll have do less transplanting or none at all if you start in five gallon pot.unless your growing monsters then transplant to an even bigger pot will prob be needed. I myself start seeds and clones in a 1-2 gallon pot and move from there to a five or three depending on plant. I always flower in a five gal with about a 30-35 inch plant. They usually get pretty big so if space isn't available may want to go three gallon pots so u can better tame the plants size. As far as the some say this and the some say that well that's what has worked for them. some may have more time than others or health is less or more than others. So for some it's easier with there methods of five gallon pot start and no transplanting for u it may be different. U may accustom more to small pots and work your way up. That's what great about this site, many growers many ways many ideas just have to use them as guidelines and find what works best for u in your environment. I seldomly ever see anything on this site I would consider false info. It's all readable data that's works for many people just have to find what data will best suit your gardens needs and what you expect out of your garden. Just be opened minded to suggestions and experience will help u with the rest
