Newb's Own First HARVEST - AK-47s

A couple months ago, I was new to RIU, and new to growing... had no idea what I was doing... but last night it was all worth it. I harvest my first grow!!! It wasnt a large yield, but I'm sure I'll learn from my mistake and make the 'sequel' much much better

Hope you got clones or are rockin' a re-veg.

got a couple more seeds where these came from, and hoping for a few more in the buds (hermies + female... fem seeds!!)

Just weighed in at 1.625 oz (1 5/8 ounces), and if you count the good half-ounce (give or take) of tester nugs I've smoked the week or 2 before harvest and all this week you're looking at a good

2 ounces!

I was wondering, do you flush your plants the last two weeks using a dwc setup, and if so how do you do it?

I flushed about 5-7 days prior... I tried to really plan, but being the first grow I couldnt expect timings to be right.


But as far as HOW I did it... I just took the lid of the DWC tub with pots/plants in it... moved the lid (top) to an empty tub... poured one (1) gallon of pure water over each plant... then after they sat, I changed the res to all pure pHed water, and put the top back on...

FINAL REPORT:

Hey guys, sorry for all the delay, started some new work... and also wanted to give them a chance to cure.

Well, I'll start with the bad news. I did harvest a bit too early I'd say. It is so much a 'head-high' sometimes I dont even realize I'm high because I dont 'feel' it... munchies... not so much. Also, no seeds. With two of them being hermies, and one female.. I was hoping for a good chance of fem seeds.. but not a one. Maybe again, not enough chance to grow them??


But more importantly, the good!! The 'head-high' of this bud is great (VERY GREAT) for creativity, drawing, creating, designing, etc... its perfect. Its very lax... good for convos, and doesnt have any couch-lock (of course). It taste great!!! Very much that sandal-wood undertone that AK-47 has... a little fruity notes at the end... very pungent, not really skunky either.

Gone through a good bit of it, a decent bit left.
