Newly Elected Republican Mad That He Doesnt Get Health Insurance Right Away

The Republican talking point has been to repeal the health care reform bill no matter what. Recently, a newly elected Congressman was extremely mad when he learned that his government health care plan does not kick in until a month after he takes the oath of office. The freshman Congressman is a former doctor from the state of Maryland named Andy Harris. He will take the oath of office on January 3, 2011. However, his health insurance plan through the government does not take effect until the month of February.

It would seem that many people in the public would actually find this story very funny. This Republican Congressman is complaining that he will be without health care coverage for a month when he wants to prevent people who have not had coverage for months, years, or maybe ever from actually becoming insured. This man is a doctor and should understand how vital health insurance is and that is why he is so upset. One would think that he campaigned for health insurance coverage for everyone but they would be wrong.

During his Congressional campaign, Harris was very adamant and took an anti- health care reform stance and is now putting his hand out and wants the government to give him his health benefits early or allow him to purchase a plan in the interim. Republicans do not want to practice what they preach here and it is refreshing for one of their own to see the harsh realities that people face even if he does have a job and will get his health insurance benefits four weeks from his taking office.

This is just the beginning, like I said a month ago; the real fun begins when these people get to Washington and attempt to govern. I got my popcorn ready.

What I don't get is the voters voting dead against their interests. I guess there are a lot of ignorant fucks voting these days. I think George Carlin and Lewis Black pretty much sum up the way I feel about the situation, "The owners of the society don't give a fuck about us, the people, period". So we are on our own. Instead of giving those millionaires and billionaires a tax cut, I think we should put a bounty on them.

Republicans/corporations are very good at manipulating chickens into voting for Colonel Sanders. Kind of scary how stupid people are, now if I could only figure out a way to get money from all these mental midgets, oh wait, Limbaugh already figured that out.

I fail to see this as much of a story. It is great karma but in the end the guy is loaded, and health insurance for a couple weeks is going to be super easy for him.
As to the stupid people, if one looks hard enough thier are plenty of them to go around.
Seems dumber to troll at people about thier political affiliations.
Canidates from both sides seem to have more money than they can spend when they leave Washington

Exactly, it is a class war. It just not been declared yet because the 96% of the people below elite status are so ignorant of what is happening to them or they know it and are so stupid they keep voting for the party that wants to fuck them the most. I know they are the same assholes, repubs and dems, but at least the dems make a try at doing something for the people, health care, (Fucked I know because the repukes gutted it), Unemployment Ins. extensions, a no starter with the repukes, merry Christmas you unemployed lazy assholes, trying to make some reeasonable changes but blocked at every turn by the repukes and the filibuster. Here is what I'd do if I were Obama, I'd ram through the removal of the 60 vote rule with re-conciliation then I'd pass every bill that is lying at the door of the senate before the repukes get in, Knowing that no good bill is ever coming out of the house as long as the repukes rule.

I just see the two parties as children. one distracting mom or dad (us) while the other raids the cookie jar.
How can this be fixed?
Amendment to the Constitution; All bills brought before Congress will make sense when read by someone with a elementry school education.
A goverment that runs on straight talk, no 2500 page bills, no high falutting Ivy League education to help us the poor the masses. I'm talking about goverment that really is transparent.
I think it would also bring some of the leadership back to the common folks.
To bad Harry S. isn't around anymore
