Newspapers, anyone still read them?

With the internet having free, more up-to-date + video info, does anyone here still read the newspapers?

The paper kid came by our house the other day for a donation and I gave him $10 not to bring the paper around anymore cause it sits in stacks in my hallway.

My house gets the sunday paper (I guess my landlord pays for it). I skim over some of the articles and then I go straight for the coupons. Most of the stuff in the papers is old news. Internet is marginally faster at providing up to date information, lol.

I'll guarantee they come back for another donation, because that $10 was they're biggest in awhile.

Papers will eventually be nonexistent, I mean, come on ... they still go off the "buddy system."
You put some change in the machine & take "one" paper ... people abuse the shit out of that.
You CANT be going by the buddy system in this day & age & survive!

i refuse to pay $1.75 for the daily paper every day. the sunday paper is $2.50 and that adds up to a lot to read every day and it's a pain in the ass to maneuver and ink gets all over my hands. bastards don't have an android app. i'd pay for an app to my local paper because i like local news. not shit that happened 200 miles away in the local section like with most news apps. they make you pay for full access to the website but i want an app at app prices. local court records and obituaries and and blurbs are all i need. the rest i can get anywhere.

We get handed out a free paper and magazine at train stations. I always read them whilst travelling and cut out clippings I find interesting. If I find an article really interesting I'll go investigate further online but my first source is often the daily paper.
