how does a person know if its advertorial in HT.i was ready to grow some burmeese and a buddy knew about it,he brought me a HT issue that talked about and praised the burmeese so now i never germinated the seeds,i read the 3 issues my buddy brought and it seems that it is always the same seedbanks and breeders,i think it is kushman that was one of them, then you find out i believe he found the straberry cough cutting and HT hypes it,if your not a friend of danko or kushman you get no print,i think the cannabis medical community needs a good rag, because if HT recomends something i dont touch it.because i think HT is a kiddie mag.Put a bud on the cover from some stock photos and they think they are hip.But you are right to many people get duped by that cheap mag and its staged cups,no one knows what is anvertorial or who is buddies with danko and kushman, because that seems to be the critereia to get in the mag.hopefully a down to earth med cannabis mag comes out that isnt a sell out.Yea, Dutch. It's pretty obvious that there's quite a bit of "advertorial" in a publication like High Times...And then the way Cervantes himself defended Jay in a subsequent letter to the editor.... Publications that kowtow to the almighty advertising dollar really do the MMJ community a big disservice. This patronization of advertisers is just a fact of life in this world, the problem is that with a situation like this, it's the most vulnerable in our community (MMJ patients) that suffer. Editorial/otherwise reputable writers pushing unworthy seedbanks at the expense of the vulnerable and niave can only get worse as "canna advertising" dries up with the current economic situation (there are several canna sites that are going by the wayside due to lack of advertising in this economic downturn).
It is up to US/more important than ever now to ferret out the truth and, along with sites such as seedbankupdate, publish our experiences to prevent the least who can afford it from getting fu*ked. Peace.
