NFTG. Nectar For The Gods

So does anyone else here mix Nectar with other bloom stage products during flower? I’ve had great success using a couple of things from Green Planet like Terpinator, Massive and Liquid w-8...but holy shit the mixing time is going up! Just curious what everyone has found to be successful additives with this line beyond the normal stuff like SLF, Mammoth, BioAg, etc..

right on !!!! coco just like soil dry out to much it can be a disaster !!!! coco I dont play with much cause all the prep work that needs done before using , flush most of the salts out , now reuse it for next run things will be a lot smoother ... nectar is work !!! gotta have everything right when growing or close to it so when you amend and reuse it , its less work trying to keep the slurry in range ... im a fan of fabric pots .... do a little research I mite be wrong but condition coco you do a Gaia wash before using ...
Scott has mentioned a few times to use limestone, and that bonemeal flushes will work if you forgot to wash coco.

So I just soak my coco bricks in a bonemeal flush mix, and press them.
Then ill get some SLF in there.

I believe? The main goal is to tie up the salts/lower ppm/set the ph.

coco is killer for cloning too. have awesome results using it.

Think the only problem im having right now is the roots having to regrow.
Letting them dry out apparently kills alot of roots.

yes thats it !!! thats the goal !! im curious to see what a fresh brick of coco slurry ppm and ph is ? I think the ph is around 5.9 and that would make sense cause of the salts .. the flush is more to get the ph in range before using instead of fighting with it ... dry not only kills roots it kills the microbes .. just think when you re water and add the microbes back in and they eat up the dead microbes and what ever was stored in belly and then they release more food... its a fine balance .....

Yeah work up to the first section of veg feed after the seed/clone drop down. You prolly didn't need to drop down to 3 ml feeds, they seemed to be likeing the 5 ml, like loop said, the Herc will help drop ph. The idea with nectar is to slowly build up, So bring your next feed back up to 5 ml of Gaia Medusa Zues and do 5 ml of Athenas & 5 ml of HERC to start training the metabolism of the plant with how nectar Herc delivers nutrients, I'm pretty sure they will love you for it, then you can start bumping Medusa & Gaia to 10 ml each and keep Athenas & Herc at 5 ml each, by the third feed start introducing Demeters at 5 ml.......keep watching the plant, she will show you everything. With a few feeds in and the metabolism building, take a slurry to see if they are prime for a TEA or Herc reset......Just remember your only in one gallons so nutrients can build up fast if you get over zealous, just gradually bump your feeds and keep an eye on plant reaction, right now you are in control of how fast there metabolism for Nectar is built. Nectar is gentle, so don't need to baby them, just keep doing what your doing and gradually bump up and introduce more over the next few feeds, so by next week you will have ramped up to full strength feeds and more than likely have a TEA day in there.

Thanks for your time Irie, really appreciate it! I will do as you recommend.

I got my care package from OCG and now have Aphrodite's Extraction at my disposal. I got some SLF-100, when should that go into the mix? I am ready for a future TEA day now, I picked up EZ Tea Veg and Bloom. Please fellas keep guiding me. Thanks everyone.

You could add SLF in every feed, 5 ml is a good steady dose, or use once a week if on a budget. You can save the Aphrodites for later into bloom, and in feeds following tea day to boost microbes.

For sure. The prep isnt so bad.... Plus you have access to oregons only coco. If i could find it here, id buy it. :P
Next time i get more bricks in, ill let you know PH wise.

Oh the purple punch (one on the right in the photo) is pushing out a couple roots out the sides. Nice and white, and the fabric isnt thin by any means. Its super thick.

So thats really nice to see. They are loving it, just recovering.

So over the last 48ish hours she’s starting to fade yellow. Feeding regimen is Nectar for the gods sample refining w SLF; pattern so feed feed tea feed feed flush although the last ones have been feed feed tea feed feed feed. She’s in her 4th real week of flower and it’s been 3 feedings since anythings been changed (addition of bloom khaos drench and appropriate Herculean harvest increase) and she didn’t start this until the most recent time. She was under fed two feedings ago due to a miscommunication when I was out of town. Other than that the only change I can think of is a week ago or so I defoliate and within the last week I have re positioned some of the tops so more light is getting down to lower bud sites.
Temps have stayed between 75-85 with rh between 28-42 depending on the day. 5 gallon smart pot 630 draw LED hung about 28” iirc

I’m gonna flush tonight but what’s my problem

What size pots, and how much feed do you water in and how often? They look over watered.
5 gallon smart pots, roughly 1.5 gallons every 48 hours to a slight runoff. I follow the feed feed tea feed feed flush usually with the recdomended middle flower nutrients. I’d say that there’s roughly .25ish gallons of runoff each time. She takes a while to drink and should probably be in a 7 gallon by now but I didn’t wanna fuck get up transplanting during flowering. I add 5ml of SLF per gallon after I ph and my tea days are; water, 2tbsp/gal of herc and complimentary Olympus up to match ph, and then buffaloam compost tea brewed with an air stone for 24ish hours. She’s been getting fed at this frequency and rate of feeding for over a month now and has been on the same feeding (middle flower) for over 2-3 weeks and this is the first time I’m noticing any type of real problems

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Another question if I may? For the last couple weeks I have been watching a bunch of OCG videos trying to learn and understand. This morning I was watching episode OCGFAM321 and at around the 22:00 mark I noticed The Beard said he mixes his nutes waits 10-15 minutes and then check/adjust the PH and then wait 3-5 minutes to see if it drifts. By no means am I trying to question Scott, but this was my first time hearing it. Obviously I should be doing this?

Too much feed/water......Nectar does best watering to NO RUNOFF, so roughly a half gallon per 5 gal is all Thats needed as a baseline, then as plant metabolism and growth builds they might need slightly more. So continuous feeds to RUNOFF at the volumes you are putting in is suffocating the roots, I would let them dry out more and then do a Herc & Oly reset at 6.4, followed by a TEA but only water 1/2 gallon per pot. This should bounce them back.

Ph can definitely drift in feeds and there is a million reasons why, all the reactions are way above my pay grade!! Its more for those that might be dealing with the swings that need to be vigilant. Just try it on your next feed and see what happens.......maybe do for a couple feeds and establish a pattern so you can simply adjust for it if any drifts occur.

So far ive noticed.

The limestone tends to really stabilize the PH.
If you just use zeus, it will drift pretty hard.

I just figured it was my water reacting.

She got a herc/oly flush last night of a gallon and a half, I will cut back on the volume of my feedings and try a tea next feed. Thanks for the info, I had read that watering to slight runoff was a good starting point however I didn’t realize that wasn’t true with these nutrients, I’ve probably been over feeding her for a while now
