So my soil is recycling now, I'm very excited about this and I did it just like you guys suggested except the water I used to re-hydrated my soil I use em-1 at 30mil a gal ..they say it's better the 2nd or 3rd time around I really hope so. I have a question about when to add the char , adding it now or when I make my pots up to plant, when is it better ? or is there any differences.

I would add it in now .. what I do is when I transplant I use Bigfoot . but I don't see it as any better as in amended or when mix in when plant.... I just did my last tea with BU's BIO .... gonna start on my flush ....

I would mix char in now if you have it. It adds tons of carbon and makes the surface area for microbes to camp out exponentially more than without.

Slurry question - the materials I read said use 2oz of soil and 2oz of 7ph water. But it also says use equal amounts by volume, which are not the same thing... I weighed it out, and two ounces of soil compared to 2oz of water are not the same volume... Just how thick should this slurry be? I'm afraid I'm using too much water and getting lower PPM's than maybe I should. What I put in was around 450, but my slurry test was still only 280, and my water alone is 150...

So just use the same Tbs scoop and however many scoops of soil you take just match it with your water. Sometimes it's a watery sample and sometimes they are muddy. If your numbers are correct, you need to up your feed as she is eating everything your giving her.

If your confident in that slurry then there's only 130 ppm in your media so you can feed 150-200 ppm more on your feed. What was your ph of the slurry?

also what stage are you in ? veg-flower ? seedlings ? I be interesting to know whats your ph ... with a low ppm in slurry I bet your at ph 7.0 or higher .. what rate are you feeding ? every day , other day , 2 x a week ? which regiment are you on ?

Yeah day 41 flower, these girls are hungry I think... Still showing slight signs of deficiencies, little brown spots on the mid leaves, upper growth is still fine.. Buds are pretty huge, I think they must just be big eaters... Ph was 6.5. I've been using the simple formula more or less. Backed off the Medusa and upped the Gaia and Herc though... Feeding every watering which is like 3 times a week or so.,..

Here's how the one in question looks. I trimmed off a couple of the more spotty leaves, but you can see a little brown near the bottom... Overall not worried, just want to make sure they fatten up like they should.

day 41 flower at only 450 ppm feed is super light......Nectar is gentle but powerful, I think you should be up in the 800-1200 ppm range....thats on a 700 scale meter, Im assuming that your 450 slurry is with a 700 scale meter and not a 500? I would up your feeds gradually, bump to 700 on the next, then 800 and so on....assuming she keeps taking it.

Thanks, honestly I'm not sure what kind my ppm meter is. aquaPro brand HM digital. On the back is shows water purity going through 500 on a little sticker, so I'm guessing 500? Also, that 450 was just the PPMs of the water going in.. Yeah I'll up it.

My bad on the 450 but you know what I mean.....i think you got a 500 scale tester, if thats the case you might want to print out a cheat sheet from the Nectar bible that has the conversions in a nice side by side table because 500 ppm on your meter is 700 on ours and the recommended slurry window is based on the 700 scale. Just look on that bible chart and with your 150 ppm water subtracted your at 130 ppm, run down the chart on the 500 side to see what 130 ppm is on a 700 scale and your gonna be closer to 300ish ppm on your slurry. Still a good number to up the feed on but check that chart out to get a more accurate conversion.

Ok, yeah I remember reading that about the meters. Might explain the lower ppms, considering they really don't look THAT deficient (but you did't see the janky fan leaves I trimmed. I've seen much worse from lockout, but it was starting to work it's way up so I hope this fixed that. It's just one of the three, the strain that always does this (eyeroll), and I had crossed it with OG Kush in hopes that it wold give it some more strength... It did, in that the problems didn't start till late week 6, not week 5 like before, and at least now I know how to fix it with what i have.. Love this product line! Before it was newb flushing isses and salt lockout with Fox Farm... Now I thinks it just a sign that they really need full big doses of nutes. At least the really hungry two girls

I just remembered you talking about that blueberry lol, Bubba and everybody else too, bamboo stakes can be a home for mites and Demeter knows what the hell else they pass on trust me, trust me, trust me, it took me a fucking year to figure it out I use these

So good to know, I was thinking of buying some bamboo. Right now I use a tomato cage that I bent and twisted around till it fit right...

They look pretty healthy to me, this late in the game a few lowers giving the plant some of its reserves is normal and its a little nod from the plant to step it up a bit.....or slurry then decide what she might need. Your on the right path though for sure. Far too many overload with a new nutrient line and then blame the nutes!! Lol!!

Signs that I'm overdoing it if I push next feeding? I'm at 1 tsp Medusa, 2tsp Gaia, 1 tsp Zeus, 3 tablespoons Herc right now, about to feed with some Tiger Bloom next time as a tea/earthworm casting/bat guano supplement... Can I just add all that in along with the other 4, or does the tea need to be it's own watering?

Yeah man, I chronically under nute it seems... So afraid to over do.
