Even though they were some small gifts, my friends were both really happy with them. "Hell yeah! This will be way better than bending forks and ruining them."
I'm glad they got there safe and that they went over well, I know I'm not any good yet! tried my first "scientific" bubbler with an extra down stem I had, next will be one with a nail setup. pics when it cools off.

Yay! they turned out better than I hoped! My first attempt wasn't the nicest but was functional, the second one I broke while working on it, and the third one.... Well the third one works damn good! You can poor the water out through the mouth piece but you can also lay it on it's side with out it pouring out. I was trying to get it to stand on it's own but that was a bit harder than I thought (didn't want a big base was just trying to angle the bottom.

I went kinda cheap for boro it was $400 my last torch sells for $200... The name on my new torch says it all "Midrange Plus". The plus means it has the premix top burner on it aswell. I could make pipes with the last torch but now I can make them quick and look a lot better! It's much easier to heat up a lot of glass.

My first attempt at a Sherlock type pipe. It started off as a regular pipe but I got the glass to hot and the mouth handle stretched a lot further than I wanted. I was about to toss it and start over but my buddy was standing there and told me to sherlock it. So that's what I did! I use gravity to form my mouthpieces instead of pulling it from both ends.

i feel like you learned to blow bubblers really really fast
I feel like I'm learning most of this pretty fast! Oil bubblers are what I like/smoke out of the most so they were high on my priority list of things to learn! I still break 2 out of 3 while making them...

...speaking of broken. My pipe somehow got a stress crack in it. It literally looks like a piece of dog hair its so small. Just going to be extra careful with it now.

I made that with my old small torch and before I had my kiln setup to anneal them. I knew it wasn't good very good, no where near good enough to charge for. It was practice that turned out kinda so I threw it in the box. I'll make you another one with this glass shipment! I'll post a pic of all the glass I get so you can choose. I set up my kiln so I can anneal pipes but I'm waiting on my digital controller so I can make larger pieces (damn shipping). I got white tubing so I'm going to try a black and white wigwag pipe.

Figured i'd throw up a pic the dabber/stand and 14mm dome you made me while I was down there.

And then the Slime/Black 18mm dome w/ your first handmade joint from the second trip down.
