Nirvana Auto Bubblelicious First Grow

Whatsup guys, This being my first grow I have a few questions. I think I'm going to go with the nirvana auto bubblelicious seed. First question is about the germinating process... I will be using the cup of water method and came across people using tap water and some people using distilled water. I was wondering what you guys think is best. My second question is about the soil. I'm growing outside and plan to stay as organic as possible with little to no chemicals (preferably none). I was wondering if I can get soil from say like home depot or a gardening store and if that'll get the job done, and if so what soil should I get?(what too look for). Note that I am planting directly into the ground**. Im getting the auto because I wont be able too spend every second taking care of her and have heard they require less care. My last question is about feeding, I haven't really researched this but was wondering what I have to mix in to the water to feed it or can I just use plain water by itself. Thank you in advance for any answers:leaf:

i would soak the seed in either type of water while youre preparing your container, and then push the seed in 1/4" deep.

i would get mircale gro seed starter or black gold natural and organic. they are both peat moss based soils with medium nutrient content.

soak your seed for 24 hrs, the type of water doesn't matter much. after that i put them in the damp paper towel, in a cd case in a warm spot, like on top of the dvr or whatever. when they crack and you see the tap root, place them in the pot and just flick some dirt over it. don't bury it deep or pack dirt on top of it.
DO NOT USE miracle gro seed starter or ANYTHING that says "FEEDS" on the bag. you can get some organic potting soil at walmart or home depot. if you use this mix it well with lot's of organic perlite. make sure there is NOTHING in the perlite either, as there are some with N. you have to mix in perlite or vermiculite for drainage.
but most importantly DO NOT USE ANY SOIL THAT FEEDS

Question: Am I able to plant the seed directly into the ground, like say I dig my hole where I want to plant it... Id fill the hole with the soil and than proceed to placing seed in... or Should I put into a bucket/ pot?, Ive seen people use trash bags and some other methods but unsure what to do.

i would start it in a pot to get the roots going strong, that's what i do for outdoor grows. there's a lot for that little plant to grow down before it grows up. much of it's energy goes into building a root system in the beginning.
i use miracle grow once i start feeding them. i use the tomato formula and also i think it's the african violet formula. i will check and let you know. the tomato formula is high in N so i use it for vegging. i feed about 1/4 strength at first. bumping up as i see the need. you don't need to feed every watering. maybe every other, you have to kind of use your best judgement there.
i dont' have grow shops and expensive shit around so i use what is available from home dePOT and have done quite well. good luck :eyesmoke:

Okay, I was just unsure because people have said that moving autos is a bad idea and that it stunts the growth. And another quick question..., When do I begin to water and feed the plant? Or can you send me a link on what i could read? Thank you again, your really helping me out!!!

when you plant the cracked seed, water it pretty good, until it runs out of the bottom of the pot is fine. feel how much it weighs, kinda heavy. watch the soil dry and the pot of soil will feel much lighter. this is when you want to water. you want to let the soil dry completely between waterings to keep the roots healthy.
as far as feedings go, you want to wait to feed for a couple of weeks. you can judge when to feed the plant by watching the feeder leaves. they are the first little set of leaves (round ones). they feed the plant in it's first few weeks of growth. they will turn yellow and look used up, as it were and this is when you want to start feeding. when they are small they don't need much. trust me i have over watered, over fed, over done everything and i have learned the hard way but it was all worth it as my master kush, exodus cheese, jack jerer, kandy kush garden keeps me smoking as much as i could ever imagine :eyesmoke:

all good..except for the chemical food and you dont need two types of soils..just one.

also you dont need perlite but itll help.

keep the standard potting mix. mix 10% perlite in it if you want..it already comes with perlite though.

should have gotten the seed starter bag..its a much better soil. the one you bought is full of chemicals

miricale potting mix:

Fertilizer Analysis

0.21 - 0.07 - 0.14

miricale seed starter:

Fertilizer Analysis

.05 - .05 - .05

not a big deal though. i would keep potting soil and perlite.

not so good. see there where it says "Feeds"? you don't want anything to feed your tiny little MJ plants. i used that previously and it burned up several babies. i get this ATM http://www.walmart.com/ip/Earthgro-1-Cubic-Foot-Potting-Soil/16904048#Specifications
mixed with this http://www.amazon.com/Espoma-PR8-8-Quart-Organic-Perlite/dp/B002Y0AK6S/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360985274&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=farfala+perlite+organic
you may want to rinse the perlite. definitely smell it make sure there's no "urine" smell to it. i bought a bag and it was full of nitrogen, it was a miracle gro product. you just have to watch the N-P-K on any bag of soil or feed you buy, cause you don't want any N-P-K in your soil/medium at all. you also want to go about 25% perlite-75% soil. there are several mix recipes out there but this is pretty much standard. the perlite (as you can see on the bag) is great for drainage and promotes root growth, both of which you need.
when i can get to the grow store i use premium promix.
it's mrs sunny, nice to meet you lol :eyesmoke:
