But a bad batch of short ryders. I'm hoping to see some good growth this week seeing I changed the res. Thanks chief...good growing everyone!!!!

Hey Icannabis, the problem was not with Nirvana's feminized seeds but with some of their Auto-Flowering Strains. Many people complained about the AFs not flowering using the 18/6 light cycle. If you wanted your plant to flower, you had to change the light cycle to 12/12 or have trees with no buds on them. Hope those 2 unconfirmed plants are GIRLS:)

Yeah from what I understand it was the auto flowering feminized blue mystics...the Blue Mystic strain is a difficult strain anyway. Just how I understood it. And the other two are females too. I put all my plants on 12/12 anyway I'm running two strains. I've tied two of the tall Blue mystics down. Two of them really bolted on me and one got to close to the lamp and burned a little. I really wish I would have just run the blues because I could have increase the light cycle and kept them a little shorter. Oh well...thanks for correcting my mistake and good growing.

Hey Icannabis, I'm glad the other 2 plants are GIRLS!!! I was thinking the same thing about my grow, I should have started my Master Kush a little later but I got my tent and a closet set-up. I'm going to use the closet to veggie the MKs and the tent for the Blue Mystics. Keep those BMs tied down because they do get tall as hell. Growing those Blue Mystics alone, would have given them more lights which means bigger plants:)

Update!!! All females and there starting to show bud growth so its all good...the blue mystics are doing well and producing buds...I'm kinda bored with this grow...but feel free to comment. And chief thanks for the interest. And I think with 600w in a small space it's over kill...I'm going with a different setup at the end of this one. Good growing everyone.:joint::joint:

Hey Icannabis, I know you must be thrilled to have all females:) Man you are going to love those blue mystics. The smoke, smell and taste is just so awesome!!! That's why I'm growing them again. I don't think by the look of your grow that using a 600w is a overkill. You are going to have a lot of buds. With that 600w light, you are going to have FAT buds.

Yeah chief...I'm just saying the heat is kinda hard to keep down...and I hope the buds get nice and fat in the next 3-4 weeks. They got nice frosting on them so far. I really hope there potent. This grow has went so straight forward that I'm worried about the dreaded 4 week bump. If you know what I mean...I'm running full nutrient strength finally!!! So I added a little cal mag to the res. I don't know if they even needed it but. So I don't think I'm adding it next res change. It causes to much pH drift...other wise there was none. I've kept the Ph at 5.8 the whole grow because I didn't have to add ph down once till the Cal mag. It wants to run up to 6.1 to 6.3 and stay there. Well I'm rambling Take care everyone and good growing.

Hey Icannabis, I use MagiCal throughout the entire grow and it's needed according to the feeding chart:) You should add all your nutrients to the water 1st and then pH the water. Keep adding water until you get the pH down to 5.8.

Chief that's what I do. I use tap water and it's 6.0 on the scale and it ppm's out at 90-100. What happens is I add the nutrient and cal mag and wait ten minutes or so and add acid to bring it down. And it goes to 5.5 and the next day I check it like normal and it 6.1-6.3. I wasn't so worried about that as the mag and cal are better taken up at this ph. So I lowered it again hoping for about 5.8 which is still good. And I was hoping it would stay stable. Nope it ran back up to 6.1-6.3. The plants are using water and nutrients so fast at this point. There using at least 3/4 to a gallon a day. And there taking up nutrients really fast. At about a tsp of nutrients. Because I have to add that back to bring the ppm back to 900. Before the calmag I didn't have to use acid or anything the acid in the nutrient was enough. I didn't even know I was suppose to use calmag the whole grow. I thought the tap water had enough in it. The plants didn't seem to look deficient to me. Do you see something I don't?

I don't even know what I would be looking for to be honest. I think you are doing a great job with the DWC grow. I tried a couple of times growing using DWC and jacked up the plant each and every time. I figured I needed more growing experience and a better understanding of nutrients before attempting again. If the cal and mag is messing up the pH level then decrease the amount used or avoid it if you can.

I use a flood and drain setup not a dwc. I got away from dwc because I wanted to try a flow and ebb. Well I stopped using cal mag. I don't think they need it there almost ready. Good growing chief and I'll update soon I got some more root shots of that male I just cut. Hopefully you'll be as impressed as I was. Good growing....

Hey Icannabis, I'm not familiar with the flood and drain method of growing but those roots are so clean, whatever you are doing to keep those roots clean, you need to pass that info to many people here on RIU. I've seen some dirty looking roots and have wonder if they yield anything with roots looking like that:)

Update!!! Ok I took a picture of them all together and individual pictures...I put my curing jar next to them to show the size. They look a little droppy I did this after lights went out. Anyway I going to continue with the cal mag I made my mind up. Well tell me what you think. :leaf: It's SR SR SR BM BM BM BM BM BM BM BM...

Hey Icannabis, the family is looking good. The 4th and 5th pics (BMs), shows the leaves are seriously curly. Too much something is going on. Those BMs are looking very smokeable:)

Chief that's a Short Rider in those pics...and it's been like that all along. It was a sleep too but I think it will come around. Thanks though...I'm not to stressed about it.
