Nirvana Bubblelicious Auto CFL grow - 1st grow

Starting this from today which is week four on the nail since they broke ground :-) As mentioned in the title, this is my first grow and I'm really getting a kick out of it! I didn't want to spend a lot of money on this grow, so I managed to get a grow tent rather cheaply - it keeps everything nicely self contained and neat. I've got the two plants under a 24/0 schedule and you can see my light setup in the pics. Basically 1x105w and 1x75w daylight grow cfls along with a homemade 6cfl reflector rig (did a search on google for the plans to build it) which has 6x20w warm cfl and 3x30w warm cfls in clamp holders so I can move them around.
Nute wise, I'm giving them 1/3 strength 7-7-7 at the moment. Since they are autos, should I switch that to something more suited to blooming as the plants have started flowering.

Those girls look great!! I'll keep an eye on the grow, I guess they'll be showing flowers soon if they are already in their fourth week.

yeaa man deff looking good. u can get sum really really nice plants from CFL's.. look at my avatar pic under my name.. thats Nirvana's White Widow grown under CFL's. got a lil over 3 ounces dry from it. =) im subbing. im gonna buy sum fem. bubbleicious seeds from nirvana soon. not the autos tho. but i wanna see how these tuen out. =)

Lowest set of leaves turning slightly pale green so I'm assuming the plant wanted more food, ask and ye shall receive :-). Switched to a different nute since the plants are flowering (12.5-25-25) and started 1/4 strength with the latest watering yesterday. Rearranged the lights so there is more of an even spread of the warm CFLs. Generally looking good and getting bushy as hell. They're also starting to develop a lot faster up top too.

thinking about doin the same strain in a cfl grow myself. im def subscribing to ur thread. they are looking awesome!

My soil mix isn't anything spectacular, just a regular multipurpose compost and perlite in a 50/50 mix. Judging by how the plants started to show signs of needing a feed, they probably got about 2-3 weeks out of the soil before needing nutes.

The last pics I posted were taken earlier today, a couple of days shy of 5 weeks since they popped through the soil.

i grew these. the buds are not to dense but they are so crystalized. I thought i was going to get 3 oz's by what the plant looked like but only got 1 1/2 oz's . and my lights were no farther then a inch or two and i have 12 42 watt cfl light bulbs. But don't get to worryed things just worked out this way sometimes maybe you will get hard dense buds. But it's worth the grow the smell is great it's real frosty and it great high. these plants explode. grow very fast one day your going to walk into your room and be like damn the buds are big. But like i said they are very fluffy.

hi i am very interested on how you used those clamps to clamp you cfls in place i have been stuck for ages now with how to mount myn i have 3 125w cfls i have no idea how to mount them how did you do yours thanks ! :D:D:D

i am currently trying to grow exactly the same. i will subscribe to this thread aswell i am continplating using fluorescents too grow (cool white) then (warm white) to flower, i hve heard tht the two different tubes have a blue tint (cool white) and a red tint (warm white) so ill let ya know how it goes but your babies are looking nice..... how old are they?

Ok, we're into day 38 on the bubblelicious grow and they're doing great and best of all, I haven't killed them yet. :-) I've added a few more lights into the tent. I use these lighting clamps, they're basically a pendant light fitting with a clamp attached and they attach perfectly to the tent frame. I move the lights around frequently as well as rotating/switching the plants around. With their current growth spurt I'm having to move the lights away from the leaves on an almost daily basis. With the new lights I'm working with approximately 522w (real watts, not the cfl approx ones).

I should add, these two plants are in approx 2-3 gallon pots, probably not as big as they should be but this is an experimental first grow ;-)

I also slightly increased the nutes with the last grow and tweaked the soil PH slightly because it was heading past 7.0 ever so slightly. Not enough to worry about but may as well keep it under control while I'm watering.

Again, since this is my first grow I'm not really sure how far along I should be at day 38. I'm seeing small buds but for those of you who are more experienced, how am I doing so far? Call 1-800-howsmygrow :blsmoke:

Another update. Not a lot to see except more growth and more flowering :-) Plants are ultra thirsty and are watered every other day with nutes. Last two pics are of my new babies, Blue Himalaya and MI5 - both autos.

Can anyone who's grown auto bubblelicious before give me some advice as to how these are looking for their age. This is my first grow and I'm just wondering how my plants are doing and some experienced opinions would be great :-)
