I like to grab seeds every so often. I run a perpetual, so the hard part is deciding which strain to retire to make room for the new genetics lol. Y'know I regretted chopping the male as soon as I did it. I ended up trying to salvage a cut of it to see if I could reveg lol. She's rooted but she hasn't started vegging again yet. I keep hoping there will be some growth everday when I look, haha. After all of the good things I've heard about heri I wanted to dust a branch on a few different strains and cross them. You never know when you're going to find a beauty!
I haven't tried Sugar Punch yet, but I've seen a cpl grows here on the site and they turned out gorgeous. One of them was a slightly purple pheno, frosted to the max. I'm hoping I get a purple pheno of each the Jackberry and the Sugar Punch.
i wish i could order seeds that often, i think im just gonna breed this bagseed and grow whatever comes my way and cross it so i dont have to buy seeds and maybe make an F2 of whatever strain i get with my best parents.
its weird how valued seeds are but you can get like 30 off a small plant, and if you pollinate a big plant enough you could probably get hundreds, yet some seedbanks still sell them for 10 bucks a bean, and for some reason feminized is more expensive by a small percent(some companies actually charge like 50% more for fems, idk why all you gotta do is breed a hermie).
a male isnt that bad to have imo, if you want some seeds grow the plants that need to be bred 3 weeks apart from the others, so right when the girls that need to be bred show preflowers you can pollinate them with some males, if your not comfortable growing a male in your room or about exceeding your plant count with males, you can just put him in a bush and let him grow out, they can survive through a lot. males are probably 90% of the time much faster to show flowers and more growth overall, so they should have pollen probably a week or two ahead of the girls.
revegging can take a while too, my girl re-adjusted to the hours but i left as much fan leaves and got whatever buds i could save before she goes back to veg mode. i did save some new buds towards the bottom as well. the new buds are stretching, they look like single calyxs but they seem to stretch a bit every day or so. and if you do get a heri male, i would breed him with every strain you have, those genetics are bound to come out just as if not more potent.
sannie had some good pics of sp, i think ive seen what purple pheno your talkin about but not too sure. jackberry is supposed to have some purple too, you might get a more colorful pheno, its all luck and proper care. if they dont grow purple at regular temps they should below 68 or so, the longer they're in those temps the purpler.
and budist, nice lab equipment man. i swear i had a chemistry teacher with one of those, i always wondered if he used them for taking trich shots hahaha. sweet pictures though.
