Nirvana letdown V.3.0

Well Well Well,

Ive placed 3 orders with Nirvana Seeds,

10 reg Blue Mystic. 1 germed, sprout later died
5 Fem Short Rider. 1 germed. ended up being a 6" runt.
5 Fem Indoor Mix. TINY TINY seeds that looked like SHIT, -0- germed.
10 RESENT Blue Mystics. 2 germed.

Yes folks, 30 seeds, 3 plants total.

Im sure a good % of you know a decent looking seed when you see one, I know i do. Im no stupid DB trying to germ them in cloning gel or no shit like that. I use the very simple papertowel and DISTILLED water method and its ALWAYS worked for me.

Questionable genetics? Im growing 2 blue mystics and 1 is heavy indica, where the other looks to be VERY sativa. Keep in mind this is a Indica dominant strain.

On a positive note, Nirvana has GREAT prices, and AWESOME shipping times. I never waited over 7 days for my order to come to the West Coast. This is what brings me back to them for business.


Ive emailed the help dest and hope to hear back soon, I would welcome another order of what i paid for, but for the future i dont think ill be ordering from here again


Heres the seeds they just sent me. Notice how TINY they are. That is a DIME and you can see one seed is the size to his nose, and the other is the size of his ear...................TINY!!!!!

what temperature are you germinating the seeds? how long did you wait? ive had a good experience with wonder woman, blackberry, eldorado, chrystal

I dunno man, sounds like user error to me.

I haven't had a problem with my seeds and they're all small. it might be something you're doing wrong dude. With that many seeds you should have a much higher germ rate. i mean, i could see a couple duds, but not that many from nirvana.

I kinda have to agree, they wouldnt be in business if they were selling that much bunk shit...kinda hard to tell from the pic, but they dont look terribly small-

I have heard and read the same basic story many times over the years and it is one of the reasons I cannot understand why people will purchase Nirvana strains.

It was said that at least the Nirvana's pricing is good but if you figure out the price per bean that popped and grew basis the pricing had to be anything but reasonable.

Some strains just have small seeds.

If they are ripe seeds, by that I mean dark and mottled and not busted up, then they should be fine regardless of their size.

Now, you will get a dud now and then, that's just the way it is.

But I think that you should research your methods and check some references.

And of course try and try again.

Really? I've heard nothing but good from Nirvana, apart from this guy. Alice will send you some new packs, don't worry.

i've been using nirvana for the past few years and i'm germing at a 99% success rate. i'd have to say this is operator error.

i can only judge on my own experience, and Nirvana not only did me right by resending a lost order, but they have all germinated and sprouted perfectly so far. iam sorry to hear about your luck =(

Operator error. I've probably germed over 100 nirvana beans and cannot remember losing even one.

I figured id get that type of response.

1. Ive NEVER had problems with other seed banks.

2. The 2 Magnus Genetics Biddy i germed with the Nirvana FM BOTH germed in the same conditions in 18hrs.

3. Even the free UFO (DNA rocklock) germed.

4. Thanks for insulting my intelligence on the easiest part of growing! Its the seeds, not me that has the problem.

No one's insulting your intelligence. We're just talking about our experiences. You made a complaint right? They'll send your order again, they're customer service is really good.

Yes, Alice was helpful with the last issue i had with germinating. Like I told her in my recent email, Im not looking for a free handout of any type, Id just like to get what I payed for, which wasnt bunk beans. Will keep thread updated with info as to what happens.

Im in no way trying to bash or discredit Nirvana, im just simply stating that in MY experience, germ rates are pretty horrid.

Please forgive me for snooping, but in your grow journal, you also speak of poor germination rates AND the beans were from another bank and breeder, correct?

Actually that grow WAS the short-rider! That was the "runt" I refered to in my first post. A case of mislabeled seeds. Once i found my LR seeds i felt like a dumb ass and didnt update that grow. The LR's were given to a friend and produced between 35-45 gs on each plant (yes they germed!). Ive since updated to a 600w HPS and running the lights 20 hrs per day was really killing my power bill. Because of this ill NEVER use those little guys again.

But yes the free DNA seed i received did not germ.

Are you saying that the 600 watt HPS ran your electric bill up?

That really shouldn't happen unless there was some malfunction with the ballast.

Bad luck I guess? I'd buy from them again. First timer here, stuck 8 White Castle seeds into some MG soil with real high ph, all 8 germed, 1 was runty. 3 girls I got going in flower now are gorgeous.

What do you mean by V.3.0?
