WonderWhatsNext...... LSt works best when the stems are still flexible, thats why you start early BUT you certainly can still bend the tops over at any time, just do it gently. To be honest it does no harm to 'pinch and bend' stems, its another common training method, again it has the same effect.

So if you want to you can put in an anchor tie and then pull that main stem gently down in opposite direction. This will slow the upwards growth of your plant and encourage those lower branches to develop. If you bear with me I'll post a couple of pics for you showing how its done?

One more shot, I know its overkill :-)

I took this one as the sun was going down last night just before I put them back to bed! The smaller plant nearest camera is Bubba O Kush just into 12/12 and the other is a clone from the NL pot at back left. She wont go into flower for another 2 weeks.

You grew those 12/12 from seed?

I just started two plants. Both started 12/12 from seed.

Here are pics of both plants. I know the one in the clay pot is female for sure.. as she is starting to show signs of bud sites and I don't have any banana's anywhere.. so its a girl. I don't know about the one i have planted in the gallon milk jug. I think it might be a girl as well... not showing any signs yet.

well.. ok the battery for my camera is dead. thats great.. I got have this thing charged anyways because my neices bday is today at 5pm at my sisters house. Shit.. Well. Watch for my post of my current grow later today. I will be posting it.

smokin1, I appreciate the comment, it means a lot :-) If you dont try something for yourself in life you never really know! ...thats always been my way of looking at things, and I have never liked being told what to do! Btw, I like that signature line too... so true :-)

wonderwhatsnext, Ive taken a couple of pics hopefully showing how to start the LST, I'll get them up in the morning as I'm a bit stoned now :-)

Megax....cheers, this is the bit I love, last couple of weeks they really throw out those flowers :-)

WonderWhats Next ....... Heres a pic (below) showing how to start the LST, hope it kind of helps you in some way! The plant in the pic is a clone of one of the NL's, the one that stetched most as it developed some good side branching for a 12/12 grow.

Yeah that helped alot, I get the idea now. But later on in the plants life do i start pulling different ways or is that up to me?

WonderWhatsNext..... the idea is to pull every growing top down to about the same height , that way they all develop evenly and get plenty of light, don't be afraid! Just pull them tops down, it wont harm them at all :-) I'm actually fairly gentle at this... there are some 'hardcore' LST -ers here if you look around :-)

Battery died as I tried to download pics today, but heres one taken earlier at least, camera chopped off the main top on the plant at left though in the pic :-( I'll add the rest tomorrow.

Its a hot night here, very humid. This is where the fans need to keep that air moving around in a grow cabinet.

V12, since your PM today I've been listening to SR on YouTube :-) I like it a lot, like you say, real tight but still plenty of musical inventivness going on. Like you I recall the 6' tall stacia with those huge round breasts dancing naked :-0 back in the early eighties, but this incarnation really impressed me..... 'Brainstorm' sounded great but I loved 'Master of the Universe', never heard it played quite like that before and it blew me away! I'll be looking out for them. Cheers again.

You finally enlightened me haha, I knew it pulled them down but i didn't know what the main purpose of it was. I will start doing this one my 15 day old plant when i get home from class thanks man.

I didn't have anything to tie them down right now so i tried the pinch and bend approach, here are a few pics. Also i wanted to see if you could tell me why my leafs are starting to curl up and the bottom leafs are going yellow. I posted pics of the LST attempt and the leafs thanks.

I potted with MJ soil and it has only been 16 days so i doubt it's all used up.

WWN, I cant see anything wrong with those! Real nice fat Indica and looking healthy. Is it just the first 2 small leafs that are yellowing? Thats nothing to worry about, they look good. Dont make the mistake of over feeding them though, just water for a couple more weeks is all they need, it wont make them grow faster it will just overload them. Nice :-)

So, here they are today at exactly 9 weeks from germination, finishing fast now but at least another week, maybe a little longer!

Just plain water all the way now, PH 6.4

Also a shot of my Bubba O Kush just showing pre flowers :-) Shes had a spray of SMC solution (spider mite control, preventative) so shes looking nice and shiny :-)
