No infestation, like one or two are in there.
but im not killing the plants or anything just because of that. Surely there is something i can do.

So your telling me, i cant do anything at all to fix this... nothing at all. but then cannabis can grow outside by it self and do just fine.
I personally think that there is something i can atleast try. I dont know repot them.. again.. use some pestasides... im sure there is somehting.

they might be called springtailes. i looked up some pictures of them and they look just alike

OK FRIEND. I AM GOING TO HELP U OUT. I AM severly drunk and high but look. don't get rid of your plant for some gnats. i can tell u a few thin abou these flys, they don't like cold and they don't like dry. so cold dry temp. sorr i was yelling, capslocked was clikced and i didn't feel like goingback and retyping. if u can, put your plants outside for a few days and don't feed them water. dry cold will kill flies. i know it sounds like suicide but it's not. well i live in so cal so it' not too cold here. perhaps it may be murder if i lived in a severe environment but i assure you, nip these flies now and you have a lot of hope for the future. do as i say, ii have a lot of experience indoor outdor growing and i have had great results

Well, after further conultation from a fellow grower and friend of mine...If they are fungus gnats (you must identify them 1st) Put a bout 2" of regular sand on top of the medium. Says he has cleared up infestations that way.
Sorry for being a doubting Thomas, I started feeling sorry for the plant, it has been through so much....Let's save it dammit!

It doesnt look anything like any of those on that chart. Its little and white and look as if they have many legs but im not sure about that or not, im just saying that because of how they move. they are kinda long but not really, just longer than wide. they look like whats in that picture i posted

yeah ithink they r fungus gnat babies. don't water that plant until they are gone. put it in colder than avg temps if u can. i put mie out for a few days in CA & didn't water and they were gone.

they look very simular but mine arnt that big, and they arnt on the plant, just in the top layer of soil. other than that yeah they look about like that.

Well it is now day 21 or something like that, im beginning to not care any more. I walked into my grow room this morning and the top was snapped off of my SR2 plant. dont know how it happened but its just there.. and broken.. and only like 2 and a half weeks old. Its not gonna make it.
So now im down to one plant that has bugs in the soil, thouogh I played with the soil for a few hours and found some of the bugs and was trying to look at them with a magnifying glass but every time id find one and scoop it up with a spoon it would shoot off the spoon. Thus confirming that they are springtails.
But at this point it safe to say this grow turned out to be a bust

i wouldn't give up on the plant because of bugs. you can spray if you need to. just leave the plant be. is it a feminized seed? lol, it sux when u get all caught up in growing and then the plant turns out to be a dood.

I am such an idiot sometimes! I have been following so many grows, I got yours mixed up with another in my head, I am so sorry for saying to give up on her! I thought I was talking to a guy that has a 40 day old 5" plant that is in terrible shape. That is why I said these things LOL!
If you did not trash the plant yet (keeping my fingers crossed) she may still be savable. The sand will not suffocate the roots. About 1" thick layer should do the job. As for the top, if you have some cloning gel...apply some to both ends and taper her together pretty tightly. That hopefully will do the trick. Again I am so sorry for my stupidity.

Its fine bro. but the top of the plant was already dead and all folded and shriveled up. So i dont think that putting it back on the plant will help anything. Also it only has like 4 leaves left on it and those four look bad, so i doubt it will make it.

yes both are feminized. But the top broke off my Short Rider. it was only like 6 or 7 inches tall and the whole top half of the plant brke compleatly off.

that's ok. it could continue to grow regardless. u don't have to put too much energy into small plants. they grow and do their thing. i leave mine outside sometimes & don't tend to them very much. just be patietn and see how it works out.

Plants grow faster than bugs can kill them -- depending on the bug. You sure have a shitload, I'll give ya that! Curious to see how it all works out.....
