damn man plants look dee-lish-ish what kinda ventilation system u got going on there??
God I hope so. These last few weeks seem to take forever and I can't wait to sample.

I have a 450cfm vortex fan drawing fresh air in and it feeds a Mom cabinet as well as the lights over the flowering plants.

If you look at the last few posts in my journal you might find a little better picture of the set-up. The vortex fan has a 6" inlet and the outlet has a tee in it with dampers. 1 of the branch lines off the tee feeds the Mom cabinet (with 1 400 HPS) and is connected directly to the light hood and is exhausted out the other side of the cabinet. The other branch line feeds (2) 600's over the flowering plants and is also connected to the hoods. Because my tubs sit on the floor I have an oscillating fan blowing across the tubs (to help keep the nutes cool) and I also have a Stanley blower (35 bucks from Walmart directing air across the colas/light hoods.

As far as ventilation just remember that in order for it to work properly you need to be able to exhaust the hot air from the room too.....not just bring it in.

Well, if noise isn't an issue then the vortex fans are the way to go. They move some serious air. I learned the hard way......bought an in-line 6" round duct fan. Didn't work. Bought a 150cfm bathroom exhaust fan. Didn't work. Splurged on the vortex blower....it kicks ass. If you need some electrical advice feel free to PM me.

Tite system. I want to do aero but am sort of weary about hydro. I have never grown before but wanna do my first in soil just so I dont kill the fuck out of it with a hydro system. Also I dont have a pH meter of nute meter.

Hydro is very easy if you understand the basics. It's nice to be able to give your plants exactly what they want/need, and with hydro growing you can take ppm measurements every day and see exactly what the plant is doing or what it needs. Personally I got tired of hauling new dirt inside and hauling the old dirt out.

If you're any type of DIY guy you can make a cheap killer aero system for less than 100 bucks.....excluding lighting, meters and nutrients of course.

You're right.....don't even waste the time if you cant afford a good PH and PPM meter.

Check back soon...I'll be harvesting in the next week and I'll post some pictures. Those ladies are looking schweeeeeeeet and judging from the sample I smoked last night the weed is killer! :blsmoke:
