I heard that papaya was a selection of KC Brains Mango...not 100% sure if its true. I grew some mango a while ago, and was not overly impressed with it. The potency is lacking...its not bad before bed because it gives you a calming indica high. I had one pheno that I kept that was VERY resinous and had huge buds. The biggest buds i ever grew so far...they also got a little purple in a cold environment. I crossed mango with a CBD-rich sativa and i´ll be harvesting that later this week. It has the growth pattern of that sativa, but the smell is fresh and fruity, unlike the sativa mom. The yield is a little disappointing, but the grow container was small and i fucked something up in the fourth week of flowering...either over fertilized or, like the guy at the growshop said, the roots were too cold. The problems gradually disappeared after I flushed the soil a bit and put the pot up onto some styrofoam to keep it warmer.
Wow, i guess Im stoned... most of this had nothing to do with the thread...however, if Papaya IS in fact related to Mango, some of this ramble might prove useful after all.
