Evidently, the fact that Obama is the Commander in Chief of our armed forces but doesn't know enough about them to be familiar with the term "corps" as in "US Marine Corps" is lost on a number of people.
Had he mispronounced a generic, commonly mispronounced word it wouldn't be too big a deal. But these are the men under his command - he is supposed to be their leader. Do any of you know what being a leader means? Part of it means inspiring confidence - this is hard to do when you appear incompetent in front of your men and lack the basic respect for them to know how to pronounce their titles.
Ah, but perhaps he was tired from visiting all of those 57 states.
Plus, did I mention he was editor of the Harvard Law Review?
