i believe i have a nitrogen deficiancy . I'm growing 4 plants in a nft hydroponic system and i just wanted to know that is it possible for the plants to adjust to the nutrient dose over time or if i carry on will it eventually kill them.
I.E can i leave the tank as it is or should i change it and give it a lower dose.
I did only give it quater strenght to start with though....
thanks in advance kind people....................

Any pics? A lot of times nitrogen deficiency begins with the yellowing of leaves starting from the very outer tips expanding to the middle of the leaf. Alot of beginners though often make this mistake. Although its not always a deficiency it could also be due to the quality of water so make sure you're monitoring your tank with a Ph meter and a tds/ec meter. I say keep record of your feeding schedule and notes of results of the feedindgs because a lot of noob growers see the yellow on only the bottom leaves and automatically think its a deficiency. Then they go and give it more nutes and burn the plants! What kind of nutes are you using? I've been using CANNA Aqua A+B at full strength since 3 weeks after sprout stage 3 times a day and I've never had any issues. PH even stays balanced after nutes are mixed in and pH is set!

My other question is this... are you using a calcium/magnesium supplement? If not you need to. It is what gives plants that nice rich dark green! Soil already contains the amount of magnesium, calcium and iron in for plants to use but water does not! Look into botanicare calmg for chemmy or GH General Organics clmag+. Botanicare goes for about $18 online and the organics one goes for around $16-$17. Check out neHydro.com

Dude! your the guy i need to talk to cos you know your shit.
Nah they are not yellowing althoug the very bottom leaves have by they are really dark almost bunrt looking. ?I thought it may be because my light was to close but i raised the light and then the plants where stretching for more light, so i came on here and asked about and somebody told me it was a nitrogen def.
I'm just using the IONIC nutes grow/bloom.
I got some autoflowering seeds and i gave them the grow nutes up until they started to flower which was after about 3 weeks. thats when i put them in my nft system ( first time ever using it ) and then put the bloom nutes in there at only a quater strenght.
any help you can give me would be much appreciated bro! because it seems most people on here use soil.
Do i need to buy more nutes and stuff or will my ionic shit be sufficiant
