has anyone experienced a nitrogen deficiency during early flowering (i.e severe yellowing and dying of big fan leaves) and how did they remedy this? I am experiencing severe yellowing and dying of fan leaves quite early into my flowering cycle (2 weeks in) fed once with half strengh Fox farm grow big first flower watering then flushed because thought I had nute lockout and then fed with 1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon Advanced nutes sensi bloom parts a and b. Does anyone think that I am experiencing N def??? any help would be greatly appriciated.

any pics? .. u hit it on the head u prolly got nute lock.. due to a unstable Ph.. it's either to high or low and can't suck them nutrients up cuz it's not at the right ph .. what is you ph run off ?? or u are burning the shit out of them

ph is 6.3 and I know this cause I have a brand new meter, though I might be having a water issue though, tds is 350 and talked to a water specialist in our city and he said our water is very hard (so ordered a RO system just to be on the safe side) but but tds isn't off the charts. Could 350ppm be too high?? and could it really make the plant show defs this quick. I never seen and signs of def in veg stage, rapid lush growth.. here are some pics, camera broke so cell phone will have to do...2.jpg233.jpg23.jpg

is this a soil grow or hydro?

something along the line of b'cuzz hydromix soiless mix,no food added, clones planted about 3 weeks prior to inducing flowering, fed prolly twice with ff gb before inducing flowering, just posted some pics on the reply

those pics were taken at the beginning of the yellowing, much worse now, most of the fan leaves have completely died and fallen off within 3 1/2 weeks of flowering and i know its not the strain cause i have killed legends ultimate indica, blueberry and supersilver haze. i took a year off from growing and have never experienced this problem in past years, and just can't figure it out

tried spraying with epsom salt with no improvements also tried calmag. and what could be causing this if thats what it is? thought advanced nutes were specifically made for MJ cause i know im not getting it in veg cycle with foxfarms

It sounds like what happened to me. The lower fan leaves started yellowing, and then crisping and dying. I just started feeding it more Nutes (Advanced Nutrients: Grow, Micro, Bloom at 1:1:1 ratio) at the suggested feeding strength, and they've been doing great. If you're growing in soil, a good PH is around 6.5-6.7, at least that's what's working great for me. Make sure you adjust the ph AFTER adding nutes, because the nutes will lower PH levels.

dude at AN said 6.3 so thats what i have been adjusting it too, I just don't understand what im doing wrong. could my waters ppm be to high and should i try RO? does anyone know the affects of hard water in promix grows? I got some more cuttings that im about to repot and put under hid lights and i think Im gonna start a journal so maybe someone else can see what im doin wrong

I think you said you are using Atami B'Cuss Coco? If so, you want to keep your Ph around 5.8-6.0. Anything over 6.0 is too high IMO. Also, coco holds a lot of Calcium, therefore you need to add more. I have to add a good amount of Mag with my coco as well. It also could be a phosphorus deficiency. They look similar. If you have only fed them a couple times that is your problem. B'Cuzz is a soiless medium, meaning it comes with no nutrients. Any nutrients the plant needs you have to give it.
I use a Coco/perlite mix and treat it more like hydro, watering with nutrients every watering. I do, however, flush with clear water and hygrozyme every 1-2 weeks. Give em some more food and on a more regular basis and they will be happy. I would do some research on growing in coco if I were you. There are some definite differences from soil.
Don't be afraid of coco though, it has given me better results than anything else I've used. Good luck!

what are your temps?
temps are between 83-85 degrees using a a/c, and not using coco but its a soiless mix just like b'cuzz hydromix but I actually just bought some actual b'cuzz hyromix hp for my nex cuttings because at this time im not trusting the soiless mix that im using, i could be just paranoid but wanna try and switch it up. It could be that im just not feeding them enough but I think i was being greedy on the feeding, just didn't wanna burn them and ended up fucking them up anyways. so last night I hit 2 of them with a full dose of veg food using distilled water and I guess we will see what happens
